I bought this for one of my kids for his birthday...it was on Prime, and with two day shipping it should have easily made it here in time for it. Didn't actually receive it for like another week and a half, which was kind of disappointing. Fortunately the big things I got him did arrive on time, so it wasn't that big of a deal, but when I buy something on Prime, I do kind of expect to get it in a few days.
As for the actual product, the cactus looks pretty good, quality is pretty good. The vinyl is thick and should withstand a fair amount of abuse/being stepped on/being chewed on by kids. As for its ballistic performance...it's pretty bad :/. The balls don't fit very tight and don't build enough pressure to shoot very far. A long range shot with it is like three feet lol. Seriously, it's that bad. On the bright side, my kids discovered that if you stuff a nerf dart into the hole where the air comes out, it actually shoots pretty good! So, I guess if you want a slow loading singe shot nerf gun, this will probably have you covered...but as a ball popper, forget it lol. Makes a decent decoration...if you're a PVZ fan, it would look kind of cool sitting on your desk.
In this toy's defense, my son ought to be hired as a quality control/how quickly will this break toy tester, he can be pretty rough on toys. Still, you expect it to last more than a day, even with a hyper kid. Glad it was only $5, or I might have been a little more upset.
As for the toy itself, when it was in one piece, it stands by itself pretty well and does shoot the peas. Not hard enough to hurt anyone, but hard enough to knock over a zombie figurine (just like the game).
If your child loves to play the game and wants this toy, make sure that either your child is very easy on their toys or you are a master with glue.
1. The balls actually go a pretty far distance, definitely strong enough to know over basic incoming zombies
2. The POP sound this makes is almost exactly like the game - so awesome
3. It is very sturdy and made of good quality
