Defective product received

Bought it in lightning deal. When i received the product only, i could notice there was no seal and the packaging was tampered. But the induction was looking clean with no scratches. So i thought it must be new only. But when i switched on the product i heard only the beep sound. THERE WAS NO DISPLAY! It was not getting heated up. I tried with variety of vessels (induction based) and also tried changing power source.
But no results!!!! And then i saw the reviews, induction cook tops from Pigeon had many service issues which were not getting resolved. So i am not going to buy Pigeon Induction cook top for sure definitely. Will try for some other popular brands like Prestige/Philips.
