Received this book on time from Amazon. About the book, well first of all this is not typical cookbook..sort of author's journey. There are lots of recipes which author has included in the book, but I found it very difficult to locate recipes because of two major reasons:
1. No Table of Content (About the Recipe) - It has table of content but about something else
2. Font of the letters are too small.
It could have been much better if author had included pictures of recipe where recipe page is instead of consolidating all pictures at the centre of book.
Overall I am not impressed.. Anyways thanks Amazon for discounted price and fast delivery!
A Pinch of This, A Handful of That is a celebration of well-known food writer Rushina Munshaw-Ghildiyal’s coming of age in the kitchen and the many culinary influences that have moulded her into the cook she is now. Offering a smorgasbord of her favourite foods, it begins with a memoir of her growing years and the early influences on her palate, and goes on to explore recipes she encountered from the various people she’s met. The book is a food diary with lots of fabulous recipes and the stories behind them. It includes popular and lesser-known dishes, as well as her own creations — Gujarati Undhiyu, Sindhi Kadhi, Curry Leaf Fish, Goan Sausage Pulao, Clove-Scented Lamb in Red Wine, and Chindian Manchurian — that cross barriers of community and region to become part of the colourful whole that is Rushina’s kitchen.
