He’s drowning in rejection. She’s riding the waves. Can a rich boy and a surfer girl find love at the beach?
Aidan isn't used to losing. But when his popular girlfriend dumps him right after he tanks at the end-of-year swim meet, he’s not sure if his golden touch will ever return. Embarrassed and dejected, Aidan heads to the rough end of the beach and meets the surfer girl who’s about to change his life.
Every passing week gets Harley one step closer to escaping her crappy house and a mother who doesn’t care about her. Charging the rich pretty boy for lessons could be her post-graduation ticket out of town. But her fiercely independent streak starts to fade when her feelings of pity for Aidan evolve into something more.
As Aidan and Harley’s undeniable attraction comes in with the tide, suspicious friends and an interested ex make waves. Can the unlikely pair overcome a culture clash to find love’s perfect break?
Over the Falls is the first book in the Ryder Bay YA sports romance series. If you like beach culture, hot guys, and youthful passions, then you'll love Jordan Ford’s fun-drenched novel.

About the author

I was the shy girl at high school who never felt like she quite fit in. I used to dream my days away, imagining that my crush would notice me, and I somehow stole his heart. I was the girl who lay awake at night, making up stories in her head, writing herself into favorite TV shows and movies. I was the bookworm who powered her way through the Sweet Valley High series – a book a day. I loved romance stories with elements of danger to heighten the emotion. Nothing was more thrilling. These fantasies got me through the low times, they kept me company, and brought me to the place I am today.
I’m now the woman who writes for a living. All those dreams are now realities on the pages of my books. All those hours of imagining are brought to life with characters experiencing the ups and downs of high school. My fantasies are played out in these stories—heightened by danger and suspense, yet still rich with all those warm, fuzzy feelings that only a good romance novel can give you. Nothing makes me happier than creating a cast of characters and watching them save each other, fight for each other, fall in love, and ultimately get their happily ever after.
That’s me. So, if you’re reaching for one of my books, know that you’re guaranteed relatable characters, loyal friendships, page-turning action, and those gooey, big feelings that only sweet romance can bring.

It's amazing how a book can capture you and hold on tightly into a journey of someone else's. A journey filled with the sun, the sand, the ocean, surfing, hot guys, hot girls and even burritos to die for.
This is quite fun and adventurous!
Harley is a young girl in school, a surfer girl who lives mostly in the ocean than in her own small home.
She has always loved surfing, and it's her escape from a mother who doesn't care for her much.
But her life becomes even more interesting when she meets a sad and lonely looking rich pretty boy on the beach.
Aidan has everything, a good family, a good school and some good friends, but he lost his first love and due to this, his grades are falling and his swimmer scores are going low.
He feels disappointed in himself for not winning medals in swimming like he used to.
But one encounter at the beach with a feisty and independent surfer girl changes his entire perspective.
Harley and Aiden come from very different social worlds, Harley from the working class, and Aidan from the upper class. And yet when they are together, all that disappears and they can escape with the waves.
But will there social worlds collide and force them to leave one another, or are they willing to give whatever they have a chance?
You'll instantly fall in love with many of the characters, Harley and Aidan are cute and wonderful. Even Jed, Harley's Best Male Friend (BMF) is super funny and great!
But there are also those annoying characters that you learn to love/hate!
You can't miss this series. If you love the beach and flirty fun adventures, this series is for you!

Rich kid Aidan has recently been dumped by his girlfriend, loses his ability in the pool and his life starts to fall apart around him.
Surfer Chick Harley, is in the poor part of town, but is happy as long as she has the waves.
When these two unexpectedly meet, life changes for both of them. They form and amazing friendship at first both fighting their attraction to the other.
But with one being an “Elite” and the other just a “Hippie” will they be able to find common ground (or sand!)
I really enjoyed this book. Jordan wrote this well and added a mystery element to it involving Aidan’s cousin Skylar.
I will highly recommend this book and have already Pre-Ordered the next one.

The detail about surfing was fantastic, could feel the passion that went into writing about it.
Overall a great book, will definitely read the next book in this series
