I thank God that I got Thrush last month. That’s how I found out about candida. It turns out that I’ve had it for 10 plus years. Doctors don’t have a clue, they treat the symptoms, not the cause. When I went to the dermatologist 10 years ago with a horrible rash on my back, the doctor gave me a cream. Nine dermatologists later, I still had the rash and a ton of other ailments. This definitely has active cultures. It passed the milk test. Take a few ounces of milk, break open a probiotic capsule and mix it with the milk. Then cover and wait 2-3 days. If, after that time, you have yogurt, the probiotic is good. If you have warm milk, the probiotics are not good.

This one passed the milk test with flying colors.

Candida die off symptoms within one week

There’s a war going on in my gut right now. I’ll be damned if Candida is going to win. If you’ve made it this far, I don’t need to tell you about good and bad gut bacteria. I am 50 years old and have been generally unwell for as long as I can remember. Symptoms that no one could put their finger on despite lots of testing such as sleep studies, labs and scans and medications such as antidepressants and sleeping pills, muscle relaxers and more. I’m a nurse and never learned about the overgrowth of bad gut flora in nursing school. Most doctors don’t learn about it either. The symptoms are many. I personally had chronic, almost debilitating fatigue, headaches, depression and anxiety, general unwell feeling, joint pains and many GI symptoms; bloating, acid reflux, constipation (which sometimes took me to the ER despite every OTC product I could get my hands on to avoid that situation and even regular enemas), relentless nausea with dry-heaving and more. It wasn’t until I turned to naturopathy that I got my answer. A simple blood test revealed yeast in my bloodstream which indicated leaky gut. I have an overgrowth of Candida. I have tired the Candida elimination diet on its own but failed. If you have an overgrowth of yeast you will know the insatiable desire for everything yeast needs to survive and thrive like grains and sugars. I decided to take a different approach which is to feed the good bacteria while killing the bad this time. It is working. I normally wouldn’t write a review this soon but it is definitely 100% working. I’ve been taking Dr. Gundry’s Total Restore with this but I’m confident it’s the pre and probiotics that are working. I’ve lost 3 pounds in a week, have no bloating and have developed sure signs of die off such as allergy-like symptoms and oral thrush. I just ordered Peroxide 3% food grade to gargle for the thrush. I’ve also added a liver support (photo attached) to help with the die off symptoms. None of this is even expensive. It’s just a matter of getting the right thing for your symptoms. I am not saying this will definitely work for you, rather letting you know it is working for me despite all conventional treatments for my symptoms. As a huge bonus for me, I am sleeping like a rock which I have never done in my entire life. I had no problems with packaging and shipping and haven’t needed to contact seller. Capsules are easy to swallow and have no bad taste. I have nothing negative to say. I believe some negative reviews may not understand there is a die-off process in which you may feel worse before feeling better in some ways (such as thrush and post nasal drip for me but could be different for you) or they have other health issues for which this supplement cannot help. I dislike having to write this kind of review but I was asked by Amazon to do so. When I receive a new probiotic formula based on the strains of bacteria in it that I desire, I always test it for 'live and active' cultures. I do this by dropping a capsule (sometimes I break it into two) into a small jar of milk and wait for the capsule to dissolve. I do not buy probiotics that do not include Lactobacillus Acidophilous. Dropping a capsule into a small glass of milk is a quick and easy way to see if the probiotic survived the manufacture, shipping, and storage process. Every probiotic in the world practically includes Lactobacillus Acidophilous or some other sort of Lactobacillus strain of bacteria that produces lactic acid. This is the stuff that makes yogurt and cheese. Once the capsule dissolves in the glass of milk, if the Lactobacillus Acidophilous does not curdle the milk at room temperature within a day then I make the distinction that there is definitely something wrong. Either all of the strains of Lactobacillus and/or Lactobacillus Acidophilus are dead, or they don't exist within the product at all. This raises the question about the vitality of the Bifidobacterium and other strains listed as Lactobacillus Acidophilus is about the most hearty and vigorous strain of probiotic bacteria there is. I repeated the experiment dropping a fig into the milk as my own form of prebiotic along with a Dr Tobias capsule so it couldn't be said that the prebiotic mixture was insufficient. I have found that adding a crushed, dried fig (aprioct or prune also) works well as a prebiotic when developing a bacterial culture. I also had other cultures of probiotic curdling milk at the same time with no problem in the same place. (On top of my refrigerator) where I left the Dr Tobias milk culture to curdle. I did this so failure of Dr Tobias' "Deep Immune" probiotic to curdle milk could not be blamed on contamination or environmental conditions, or the particular kind of milk I was using. Again, nothing. I then did the 'roil' test. I took 4 capsules (which I do not recommend anyone doing) to see if it had an effect on my stomach or intestines. I have found that taking 4 capsules of any probiotic that includes strains I have not exposed myself to before is enough to tell me if, 1.) the bacterial culture is 'alive and active', 2.) Or, I already have the colonies living within my gut and do not need to take more of the product. I base my conclusions on the amount of "discomfort" I experience. Some forms of bacteria do not colonize the gut, but this should be apparent when I do the 'roil test'. Again, nothing. I am still looking for a good source of Bacillus Subtillus and Bacillus Coagulans which is why I bought the Dr Tobias brand probiotic 'Deep Immune' product. I will not be purchasing another Dr Tobias product in the future.
