I would also add to the Corus that " recommend this book to all who enjoy their work - from those just starting out to the most seasoned in the business world." It is indeed " A great read! "
She starts with her concept of the Opportunity Pyramid and it is the framework to help outline the leadership message in each business leader’s story. She tells a poignant story, summarizes each story and then provides an action plan for three distinct segments of readers: 1) Business owners or managers 2) Employees 3) Aspiring entrepreneurs. A good leadership lesson should always finish with an action plan. Lori Ann also takes pages from her notebook to share key findings and in the appendix she shares key quotations from the leaders she has profiled.
Great book and thank you for making it one of the books I keep on top of my desk and not underneath.
I think the neat takeaway for me was that all the CEOs profiled in this book used the opportunity pyramid model -- they just didn't have LaRocco's book to guide them! She's now giving readers the know-how to achieve success.
Go pickup the book and start building your pyramid!
