From the manufacturer
A Day’s Power in Half an Hour
Dash Charge is faster, safer, cooler - and simply better - than any other fast charging technology available today. Unlike other technologies, charging speeds remain consistent even while gaming, live-streaming or demanding activities. The new 3400 mAh battery features a 13% increase in capacity over the OnePlus 3, so your phone has enough juice to take you through the day and beyond.
Less Time in the Socket, More Time in the Pocket
Dash Charge produces a larger electric current rather than increasing pressure, leading to stable and consistent charging speeds. While high-intensity activities like gaming slow down most quick charge technologies, Dash Charge continues to operate at full force.
A Smarter Way of Doing Things
Dash Charge carries more current than other fast charging solutions and at lower temperatures. Normally, heat generated through charging is dissipated in the phone itself causing performance issues during active charging and throttling CPU and GPU speeds. By shifting the power management system and heat dispersion elements to our Dash Power Adapter, very little heat ever reaches your OnePlus 3T.
Light in Weight, Heavy in Power
The OnePlus 3T packs a 3400 mAh battery to get you through the day and beyond. We carefully increased the capacity while maintaining the same weight and size. Optimizations to both our hardware and software increase power efficiency to ensure you don’t run out of battery when you least expect it.
All too often, smartphones are compared by specs and features alone. Design gets lost in the race for more megalixels and gigabytes. We believe that design is more than just a feature. Yes, specs are important, and the OnePlus 3T is a technical powerhouse. But none of this matters if you don't feel inspired every time you pick up your device. That's the mndset that let to the OnePlus 3T.
Style Built to Last
The OnePlus 3T challenges modern smartphone aesthetics with its minimalist all-metal build and bold Gunmetal color. Carefully engineered using a premium space-grade aluminum alloy, the OnePlus 3T has the resilience to go with its sleek design.
Stronger and Sleeker
Each OnePlus 3T phone is carved out of a single slab of premium space-grade aluminum alloy for a seamless and resilient build. At 7.3 mm, the metal unibody is light and comfortably thin, with a deliberate balance of soft curves and sharp lines. We’ve housed the rear camera in stainless steel and shielded it with a layer of sapphire glass for superior protection against drops and scratches.
Control with Ease
Our exclusive Alert Slider gives you complete control over your notifications. Toggle between three customizable settings, without ever taking your phone out of your pocket: all notifications, priority notifications, or silent. Peace and quiet is a simple slide away.
Livestream in HD
Updated with a 16 MP sensor, the OnePlus 3T’s advanced front-facing camera helps you livestream in HD and authentically capture every moment. Just smile into the camera and Smile Capture will take the picture for you, automatically. When shooting in low-light scenarios, the front camera intelligently combines pixels to gather more light and reduce noise. This results in clearer, more colorful photos.
Expert Results, Without the Editing
With lightning-fast shutter speed and a snappy autofocus, our 16 MP rear camera uses exclusive technologies to help you capture the perfect shot with ease. High-Dynamic Range (HDR) automatically balances your photos, even in difficult lighting conditions. Combining several shots to produce the optimal image, Dynamic De-noise further reduces noise and improves the clarity of your images.
Through our robust manual mode, you can control every aspect of your image. Fine-tune exposure, ISO, focus and more. The OnePlus 3T also supports RAW image files out of the box for expert post-shot editing. The OnePlus 3T gives the benefits of a DSLR, with the portability of a smartphone.
Steadying the Camera for you
Dual stabilization technologies in the OnePlus 3T make blurriness a problem of the past. New EIS 2.0 technology cancels out unwanted movements in your videos. 4K photos and videos taken by your rear camera are also more stable, thanks to Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), which compensates for jolts and shakes.
Two Steps Forward
Step up your game with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor (2.35 GHz), which increases performance without sacrificing power efficiency. We’ve also implemented a new file system that accelerates transfer and boot speeds. The most demanding apps launch quicker and perform more smoothly than ever before.
Packing 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM, the OnePlus 3T allows you to do more, faster. Effortlessly shift between shooting 4K videos and playing graphic-intensive games without any delay or lag. And since apps are always evolving to become more and more demanding, the OnePlus 3T has what it takes to tackle whatever the future may bring.
Space to Spare
The OnePlus 3T is available with up to 128GB of storage, enough internal space to satisfy even the most demanding virtual hoarders. Thanks to UFS 2.0 technology, move data up to three times faster than the more commonly seen eMMC5.1.
Thanks to Dash Charge, you’re never short on power. But where you take that power is up to you. The OnePlus 3T is carrier-unlocked and features wide band support for service providers across the globe, so you’ll never be tied down. Thanks to dual nano SIM card support, you can connect to two networks at the same time. There’s no need to switch out SIM cards or carry two phones - use one device, for everything.
OxygenOS delivers a better-than-stock-Android experience that’s light and customizable. The result is a fast and clean operating system. New features inspired by Nougat and a number of small tweaks to the UI further refine and enhance your Android experience. We’ve streamlined our platform to ensure fast software updates, created with you.

📰 UPDATE (01-01-2017)
OnePlus 3 and 3T both gets OxygenOS 4.0 based on Android N officially via OTA.
📦 Box Contents:
1. OnePlus 3T with Pre-Applied Screen Protector.
2. Dash Charge Adapter.
3. USB Type C Cable (USB to Type C).
4. Sim Card Ejector Tool.
5. User Manual.
6. A message from company co-founder Carl Pei.
7. ₹300 Promo Code of OnePlus India Store.
7. Some OnePlus stickers.
👍 The Good:
+ Build quality, this phone has awesome build quality and beautiful metal construction same as OnePlus 3, lighter than OnePlus 2 and with equally weight distribution.
+ Sapphire lens protection on the rear camera, no worries for getting it scratched.
+ Look, It really looks CLASSY, design is great, curved 2.5D glass.
+ OnePlus 3T gets charged 10% to 85% within an hour with its new Dash Charge. All heat dash charge keep in it and it has the ability to keep OnePlus 3T temperatures low even while fast charging, it is the new charging standard OnePlus created for mobile industries.
+ Latest Lighting Fast Snapdragon 821 Processor.
+ Fast 64GB/128GB UFS 2.0 Flash Storage with read & write speed of ~500MB/s & 250MB/s which is 87% faster than compared to old eMMC 5.0 and 6GB LPDDR4 RAM with R/W speed of ~12000MB/s these are one of the fastest memory modules for smartphones (Faster the memory, lesser the loading and launching time of the apps).
+ This is the thumb rule, bigger the display more will be the productivity and Mi Beautiful 5.5 inch Optic AMOLED. display along with the 2.5D Gorilla Glass 4. (The display is not 2k or 4k and you will not even need it when the screen size is 5.5 inch, in fact, 1080p display is good for the performance.). (OnePlus 2 has a IPS display)
+ One of the fastest fingerprint sensors which is embedded in a touch home button.
+ Both front 16MP and the rear 16MP camera are the best in the class, no shutter lag and takes good pictures in daylight even low light performance is not too bad. The front camera has a wide-angle lens which covers more area than a normal lens. Overall great camera experience.
+ Oxygen OS is lightweight and butter smooth.
+ NFC Support, I mostly use it to connect my camera to mobile.
+ The audio output is good, loud and clear tested with Sony XB70AP wired earphones, Bluedio T2 Bluetooth headphones and Moto Deck wireless speakers.
+ Speaker located at the bottom so no matter how OnePlus 3T lays it isn't blocked. speaker volume is good but not excellent like OnePlus 2 but better than the Galaxy S7, S7 edge and iPhone 6s which cost twice of it.
+ Good battery backup with the large 3400mAh battery just you need to tweak it a bit.
+ Bundled charger and cable quality are awesome. No compromise is done with them.
👎 The Bad:
- No FM, No IR Blaster, today almost all phones packed with this feature but unfortunately both OnePlus 3 & 3T do not have it.
- A huge camera bump which does not let you use the device without a case although now it has sapphire protection.
- The device is slippery, there is no sandstone back OnePlus is known for.
- The very delicate device, dropping it once will break it as the glass has no frame around it to protect.
- The headphone jack is now moved to bottom which is really something not in trend and it makes trouble in holding the device in one hand during earphones are plugged.
- No lesser focus and dual flash. It has only single LED flash.
- No wireless charging.
- The charging cable is no longer reversible from the USB end.
- No FREE accidental death protection this time, but you can activate it by paying additional Rs1899.
👉 Reasons to choose OnePlus 3:
1. Better front camera although it has low resolution than OnePlus 3T.
2. Available at 2k less than OP3T.
3. 12 months of FREE accidental damage protection with OnePlus Care.
4. For Graphite and Soft Gold colour.
👉 Reasons to choose OnePlus 3T:
1. Snapdragon 821 has 10% boost in performance and more efficient power usage than OnePlus 3's Snapdragon's 820.
2. The front camera has increased resolution, now 16MP.
3. ~1 hour of extra battery life than OnePlus 3.
4. Sapphire lens protection on the rear camera.
5. To get 128GB storage.
6. For Gunmetal colour.
7. To own a flashship device.
👉 Should you upgrade?
Now here is the answer to the question every OnePlus 3 user want to ask.
Should you upgrade?
My answer is BIG NO, this upgrade will cost you at least 8k and you will get again the same phone with the minor upgrades that you won't even notice.
👉 Other Points:
Battery Saving Tip:
1. OnePlus 3T has an Optic AMOLED display so keeping the black color on the screen will save OnePlus 3T's battery life. So make a black wallpaper and use dark mode. Additionally, you can install substratum and InversionUI to change everything in black from the play store if you have rooted your device.
2. Install and use greenify, people think there is no use of greenify as there is doze mode in Android M but Doze doesn't do anything while your device is in use, whereas Greenify can happily hibernate non-essential apps and boost battery performance.
Go to phone Settings > About Phone > Hit "Build number" 7 times > back to Settings > Developer Options here change animations speed to .5x from 1x or turn them completely off.
Bugs & Fixes:
1. OTG not working. To fix this is to jump into Settings > Storage & USB and hit the three dot menu button to ensure that ‘Enable OTG’ is activated.
2. Vibration is disturbing loud (noisy). Opt for replacement.
OnePlus 3 & 3T have a curved 2.5D display because of that no tempered glass will completely have no glue middle of them at the screen area, in this case, you there will be a rainbow effect due to gape between the screen and the tempered glass. Most of the covers will also peel of these full tempered glass so I would recommend you to not buy them.
I personally using the no tempered on this mobile, the pre-applied screen protector is good enough to take care of scratches. I will apply another good quality screen protector(not tempered glass) in one or two months.
Dash charge only works with the bundled Dash Charge Adapter and the Cable, if you are not using one of them or both then Dash Charge will not work. In other words, Dash Charge works with only bundled Dash Charge Adapter and the Cable.
Hydrogen & Oxygen Merge:
Hydrogen is a very feature-rich customized OS and on the other hand, Oxygen OS is a stock based simple OS with some extra features. Hydrogen OS is used in China as google services are banned in China whereas Oxygen OS is for rest of the world. This merging will bring so many good & useful features in upcoming updates but by the time this will make stock Android flavour washed out. This merging will also speed up the updates process as Oxygen now uses Hydrogen OS base.
Accidental Damage Protection:
You can activate accidental damage protection for 1 year with OnePlus3T within 15 days of purchase. This will cost you Rs1899 but it will make you worry free for next 1 year. To activate it just open play store and download an app called OnePlus Care by Servify
Current While Charging:
Some users may feel electric shock/mild vibrating sensation while charging, which is completely normal. This is known as "current leakage", and is usually caused by the device being grounded differently than your body is. It happens with many devices like laptops, mobiles, etc. It mostly happens devices with the metal frame. OnePlus 3/3T, OnePlus 2 both have solid metal construction so using a case will fix the issue.
OnePlus 3T is an upgraded version of OnePlus 3 and I really had too many expectations with this device but what OnePlus did was the minor changes to stay in the competition, headphone jack still at the bottom, IR sensor and FM still missing, camera bump is still there but now protected with Sapphire, Battery life and performance is improved little bit all credit goes to extra 400mAh and Snapdragon 821 which makes OnePlus 3T the fastest android device in the Android family. You can go for it with the closed eyes but if you want to save extra bucks then OnePlus 3 ain't the bad option. Now the ball is in your court. ;)
I am providing some pictures of the product for better understanding as "A picture is worth a thousand words".
Thanks for reading my review, I hope it provided all the information for a wise and well-informed purchase decision. It always makes me feel proud that people find my reviews helpful.

Worst experience with Amazon Prime. I got this phone on 12th Dec Sale exclusive for Prime members but since 2 days it didn't even dispatch. For the prime member, the delivery estimate is 15th-19th Dec, (that's 4 to 8 days) Seriously! This is your prime service??
Further, my order reached my city on 16th Dec (5 pm) and it didn't even deliver it on the next day BECAUSE still 2 days were left for estimated delivery date to end. Lethargic courier service.
Also, taken on 12th Dec I am not even eligible for 100% cashback offer which was there on 14th Dec sale.
I was so much excited to be one of the few users to get this phone early and after a long time, I will be getting a phone with such good specs. Amazon Prime service & Rocket Kommerce LLP did their best to kill all the excitement of their users.
The courier packaging was not good at all. The box was not handled properly. There are dents on the box. They used a single layer thin bubble wrap for such expensive product (SEE THE PICS).
NOW, Regarding Oneplus 3T

▶︎▶︎ ISSUES: ⚠️
Updated 26th DEC 2016
▸▸ Volume Profile Issue: (SOLVED with Nougat update)
I don't know whether it's a bug or not but even if I reduce the volume manually, it increases automatically while playing videos or songs or games (this is for any app with sound, WhatsApp, FB videos) Even if I reduce the volume that time, it again increases back after some time.
Apart from this, there is the headphone, it seems it doesn't have a separate volume profile. If I reduce/increase the volume while using headphone, when disconnected the phone will have the same volume levels. I have never experienced this on any phone so far including HTC, Nokia, BB, iPhone.
▸▸ WiFi Scanning/Connecting Issue: (SOLVED automatically, Don't know how.)
The next day after switching it on, the phone was not able to connect to saved WiFi. In fact, it was not able to scan any WiFi :\
I restarted my router, same issue. After restarting the phone, it was scanning nearby WiFi but only 2 of them (after 2 mins 2 more, after 5 mins finally it detected my WiFi -_-). My other phone Redmi Note 3 scanned 9 networks.
> Scanning/finding nearby wifi is very weak/slow.
>I had updated to the latest Oxygen OS (3.5.4) too.
- 0.784W/Kg @ 1g (Head)
- 0.581W/Kg @ 1g (Body)
●Sim slots: 📞
Jio 4G & Airtel 3G/4G
Support VoLTE without installing Jio voice.
Make calls directly from the default dialer.
NOTE : When Airtel data is connected, Jio Network becomes dead.
●Storage available: 53.49GB out of 64GB
●Connectivity: (Using Speedtest app)
▸Wifi (15Mbps plan) - 4.91 Mbps UP | 15.53Mbps Down
Average of 5 tests. Location wise speed will vary.
▸Jio 4G (Thane location):
3.2 Mbps UP | 2.33 Mbps Down | Ping 80 ms
▸Airtel 3G (indoor) - As usual with the arrival of 4G, 3G speed is capped purposely :(
1.33 Mbps UP | 0.85 Mbps Down | Ping 61 ms
▸Airtel 4G (indoor)
10.41 Mbps UP | 4.05 Mbps Down | Ping 27 ms
NOTE: When Airtel data is connected, Jio Network becomes dead.
▸▸Noise: I saw few reviews and I was not happy with the noise level but what they didn't mention was that it was taken with HQ mode disabled. In HQ mode the output is much better. On HDR mode you would see fine grains. During evening time itself, you will start noticing an increase in the noise level; for the rear and front camera. Rear has HQ mode which will help it to reduce but not with front cam.
Also, in all the mode, the camera shutter is very snappy.
▸Camera rim has sharp edges so I would suggest use microfiber cloth for cleaning. It has the tendency to accumulate fine dust around the edge (SEE THE PIC).
▸4K video recording is limited to just 10 mins.
▸There is no "Pause" option while recording videos. This is a basic thing.
●Video Jitter and new EIS 2.0: 📹
I didn't like the jitter on OnePlus3 but since I hardly record videos so for me it wasn't that much of an issue. With EIS 2.0 Oneplus has done a decent job minimizing the jitters, it's not gone yet but it has reduced noticeably.
I have a mixed feeling about the video focusing. Sometimes you might have to tap to focus. Also, the focusing is not that smooth, it will have a focus jerk kind of effect.
Smooth, very smooth. Usually, when I am updating multiple apps from Play store the phone's performance gets affected a bit but not here. I was using other apps with ease.
I play CSR Classics a lot. And I haven't seen any frame drops.
I even tried Asphalt Xtreme and it was smooth too.
>>I will not be using any phone cover while testing<<
Side Note: When I was using it for the first time I felt a noticeable heat on the back panel (During that time I was installing 16 apps, uploading some pics to google drive, and charging the phone). But after the app installation was done even though it was still charging, the temperature got normal. This is a positive thing for me.
▶︎Installed CSR Classic app and additional 800MB+ data:
Start temp & battery level (28.3 degrees & 76%)
End ( 31.3 degrees & 75%)
Temp increased 3 degrees, Battery fell 1% and it was cool.
▶︎Games - Played CSR Classics for 20 mins.
Start temp & battery level (31 degrees & 70%)
End (36.7 degrees & 62%)
Temp increased 5.7 degrees, Battery fell 8% and the back panel was warm. After closing the app the cooling was quick.
▶︎Charging - 🔋🔌
★★ Because of a powerful CPU and GPU the battery will drain, it doesn't have the best battery optimization but DASH charger is FAST⚡️
1. Start temp (28.9 degrees) and End ( 30.4 degrees)
Start battery level (61%) and End battery level (100%)
Took roughly 1 hr to charge 40% battery.
2. Start temp (33.3 degrees) and End ( 35.3 degrees)
Start battery level (24%) and End battery level (91%)
Took roughly 42 mins to charge 67% battery.
3. Start - 25.2 degrees | 17% Battery | 8:28 am
32.2 degrees | 25% Battery | 8:33 am
34.9 degrees | 51% Battery | 8:47 am
35.7 degrees | 59% Battery | 8:52 am
End -28.9 degrees | 98% Battery | 9:38 am
Took roughly 1 hr to charge 40% battery.
▶︎Video recording 6 mins: (No flash but using flash will increase the temperature).
Start temp & battery level (32.5 degrees & 84%)
End (36.7 degrees & 81%)
Temp increased 4.2 degrees, Battery fell 3% and was little warm.
▸4K - Start temp & battery level (31 degrees & 81%)
End ( 36.3 degrees & 77%)
Temp increased 5.3 degrees, Battery fell 4% and was little warm.
●One-hand operation: ✋
Couldn't find any option. Motorola, Xiaomi, iPhone, and Samsung have this feature. When you have a bag in your hand or you are in the crowded place then this features is handy.
●Headphone port: 🎧
It has one ;) I have been in various situations where I am using headphone and charger/OTG at the same time. This is a necessity.
It has some helpful tweaks. Some gesture options.
Some launcher option, it supports icon sets from Play Store.
★ I hope this review is helpful :) 😊
