I usually use at least two muffin liners... one for salad or a veggie, one for a fruit.
Also, the little round 4oz glad disposable tupperware containers fit in there PERFECTLY for dip (like peanut butter or hummus for veggies and other things instead of a traditional entree)
The container fits with room to spare in her lunchbox, though, so when I do need to send an item in a separate container alongside, it's no issue (like ketchup), but typically, everything fits)
Remember, this is intended for bento-style lunches, so it's intended that everything fit snug and tight against each other.
My daughter really enjoys being able to have one container where she opens it and everything is in front of her. She used to use a panda bento box, but it's just a little too small for her most days now.
And if I stuff the box, it holds enough lunch for me, so if the price ever drops to a penny again, I'll definitely be snagging another.
Oh... and the 2nd lid is perfect for keeping a cloth (or paper) napkin folded and clean with your lunch... a small pair of chopsticks might also fit for those taking some. I usually tuck her fork in the strap when she needs one
