From the manufacturer
Lucky Bamboo Plant Two Layer
Two layered bamboo is perhaps the most popular indoor plant in the world. According to fengshui masters, wherever bamboo is placed, good fortune is sure to follow. It's a traditional symbol of happiness, wealth and health. It is said that every new growing leaf will bring luck and prosperity to the owner. A perfect green gift for virtually anyone. It also helps that they have a well-earned reputation as nearly indestructible. These tough stalks can survive in vases of pure water or in soil, and in a wide variety of light conditions.
Lucky Bamboo Plant has been very sensitive to chlorine and other chemicals that can be found in tap water but this doesn't mean that you can't use tap water for your plant. Let the tap water sit for 24hrs or more to allow the chlorine to evaporate and use it for your plant. If you can provide distilled and bottled water for your Lucky Bamboo Plant it will be much better. Red roots from your Lucky Bamboo Plant indicates that your plant is healthy. To maintain healthy growth we encourage you to change the water of your plant weekly.
You don’t have to fertilize often, maybe once every three or four months, with a diluted water-soluble fertilizer at one-tenth the normal dosage. Do this when you’re changing the water.
Shaping your Lucky Bamboo Plant may sound hard and crucial especially when you are just beginning to grow and take care of this kind of plant but actually, it's not. Place a board above the bamboo so that the stalk will grow sideways towards the light or wiring.
TAKING CARE OF BAMBOO PLANT
A bamboo plant grows fine in a vase filled with pebbles with an inch of water. A drop of liquid fertilizer once a week will motivate its growth. Note that the water of the Bamboo Plant should be changed once in every two weeks. Prefers bright and filtered sunlight, avoid placing in a direct sunlight as it will burn the leaves
Trimming the Lucky Bamboo Plant
Cutting the main stalk of the lucky bamboo is not a good idea. You can do the trimming within the offshoots in an inch or two of the main stem. To depress new growth, you can dip the cut end in paraffin.

Thank you anyway Nurturing Green & Amazon!
I have read a lot of reviews saying that they received a different plant or not upto the mark.. You have to care for the plant for it to grow well & look good. Even though you may have received a plant with few to no leaves, care for it & see the difference!
The plant is in very bad condition. Out layer was almost died at the time of delivery. So we had to immediately remove it. After few days we had removed middle layer as well. Now it has only inner layer.. 😢
