Review from dpreview.com
'The Nokia 8 looks classy and refined. Not loud or garish - just elegant. It has all the makings of a phone that shakes things up and changes segment dynamics. HMD Global must be given credit for constructing phones with tank-like durability. Ergonomics are also on point - everything falls to hand easily. No quirky fingerprint sensor location to be found here.' - Shobhit Varma, India Today
‘True blue flagship and very powerful in terms of specs and brings some very interesting features to the table. Dual sight streaming is a gamechanger, which Nokia calls it a ‘Bothie’. The Nokia 8 one-ups the OnePlus 5 in terms of a better in-hand feel (this is a personal opinion), a more capable and higher resolution display, and a faster update cycle thanks to the presence of stock Android. ' - Deepak Dhingra, 91mobiles
"The Nokia 8 for sure is one damn classy phone in the looks department. Honestly, the bothie concept is a neat one, something that's been done to a lesser effect before too, but the Nokia 8 is the one phone which actually does it the best. More than that the ability to live stream video on Facebook and YouTube from within the camera interface is god sent” - Sahil Mohan Gupta, Gizmodo India

The phone went dead and no amount of coaxing (like holding different button combinations etc would make the phone wake up). Took it to the Nokia Service Centre. This is just less than 5 months after purchase of phone, so the phone was covered under warranty. Phone was given on 02nd July 2018 to the service centre. Today is 14th July and we donot have any status on when the phone shall be back with us after repair. All we know is that the motherboard has failed and it needs a new motherboard.
The service centre says that they are awaiting a motherboard which they have been awaiting a long time. We tried to escalate the matter to Nokia's support system via the number available on Nokia's website. They said they will revert in 48 hours. On completion of 48 hours, when we called back, they sprung a surprise telling that they needed 48 working hours (which translates to 6 working days :( ). Well, when we called after 6 working days, the call centre agent says that there is no update to give. When we seek a supervisor to speak to him, there is no supervisor available !!
So please take your decision keeping in mind my experience. Hopefully, you will take a decision which you will not regret.
This issue is that the speaker stopped working within a few months and the display shows a lot of screen burn in.
In the morning if I charge it to 98%, after 12hrs battery reaches to 20%.
Only 2hrs of high data usage in those 12 hrs.
Battery performance is not upto the mark.
Overall it's good.
Otherwise it's a good phone
