Got this for INR 4999. For this price, I would say these are amazing. It has only been like 3 days since I got these so this is not a long-term-usage review. I have divided this review into specific sections:
Appearance:
Aesthetically this is very pleasing and has a premium look and feel to it. The earbuds and case themselves have soft-touch matrial on then so the feel very good in the hands. I got the blue color (because the black one costs 400 bucks more for some reason which is unreasonable). But from what I have seen, all colors including the green one, look and feel equally good because of the soft touch material and the texture of the colors. The outer case is not too large but since it's made of soft touch, it will not be easy to slide it in the pockets. The case isn't flimsy, and feels sturdy enough. Slightly oily hands will be a nightmare for the case though. It has the standard single button at the bottom of the case that can be used to pair/reset the buds and has 4 LED lights next to it that show battery levels (0%-25%-75%-100%).
Audio Quality:
The audio quality is just brilliant. Everyone has their own personal taste and this one suits mine very well. The bass is good, vocals and instruments are very clear and separation between them is just amazing. These are pretty loud. Listening to 70-80% volume is loud enough for me. This gives a very balanced sound output. It hasn't got that thumping bass for hardcore bass lovers but the bass levels aren't low either. Everything is just very well balanced.
Microphone:
The microphones are a treat. It has three microphones on each bud and they perform very well. The bluetooth connection range is very well. Had no trouble in listening to music or speaking on a call when I left my laptop (for zoom) and phone (for regular and whatsapp calls) in the room walked outside the room. I did stay within a radius of 7-10 meters and haven't tested for a longer range.
USP Features:
Hybrid ANC works well. You cannot compare it to the more expensive earbuds like AirPods Pro or Sony 100XM3. They have class leading ANCs in them but are pretty expensive. The ANC on Noise Buds Solo are average. But for the price, average ANC works pretty well. It doesn't block heavy sounds, you can pretty much hear everything with ANC on when there's no music playing. But it works well in blocking moderate outise sounds when there's music playing. The transparency mode works well. Made me feel like I got super hearing powers. The earbuds have a sensor that pauses the song when you take one bud out of your ear. The touch controls are okay-ish. The sensors could have been a bit larger but I am not complaining keeping the price and the sound quality and the mic quality in mind. These don't feel cheap at all. And the size of the buds are identical to AirPod pros. When I put the buds in the case, the first and last LED on the case start blinking meaning it's charging the left and right bud. If I put just the left earbud in the case, only the first LED blinks. It's nothing great but I love little stuff like these.
Battery Backup:
Battery backup is great. This promises around 36hrs of playback. I have fully charges the case and the buds only once. After that, I have watched 2 movies, attended multiple zoom calls and phone calls and I have run out of the buds battery twice and recharged them through the case. The case still shows three LEDs so I guess there's still 50-75% battery left in the case. I will be very very happy if these give me a total backup of more than 30hrs even if it's not 36hrs. It would mean I just have to charge it full just one or twice a week. Battery backup is great. Will know more in the future.
Final Verdict: If you have a budget constraint due to which you cannot get a Sony TWS or Apple AirPods, but you can stretch the budget to 5k, then DEFINITELY GET THESE. There are other TWS buds available at cheaper price but they all have a couple of downsides. Either the sound quality isn't upto the mark, or the mic doesn't do a good job, or the ANC/ENC feature is a gimmick, or they don't look or feel good. But these Noise Solo TWS buds are flagship killer buds. All the features work. Maybe not as good as Apple or Sony, but ATLEAST the features work well and are not a gimmick. Moreover, the sound quality and mic quality are excellent here. I doubt there's anything better than this at this price.
