If you play in docked mode a lot, this is a great accessory. Before covid, I generally played mostly handheld because I was moving around a lot more. Being stuck at home, however, I’ve been playing in docked mode most of the time. The regular Joycons in the grip are quite comfortable to play with, but this Pro controller feels even more comfortable and very solid. The buttons feel bigger and more tactile, much more comfy to play with than the JoyCons.. It’s more ergonomic than my Ps4 Dual Shock controller, too, with MUCH better battery life. I really, really like this Smash Bros. Special edition. The white/ black/ silver style looks so much cooler than the plain black, in my opinion. It’s not clear from the photos but the gray section on the controller is actually silver.
If you use thumb grips for the regular Joy cons, they will fit over the analogue sticks on this controller, too. I recommend using them because dust can otherwise get under them, especially if you live in Delhi.
Really the biggest advantage of this controller might be that you don’t have to remove the Joy cons from the Switch every time you want to play docked; just slide the entire unit into the dock, and pick it up when you want to play handheld.
