Purchase it for the following reasons: 1. You're a beginner but need a camera which can be used at a mid-level as well. 2. You do not care for the lens just yet. If you do care for the lens then I will suggest you to only buy body first and then separately purchase 24-250mm lens to not have the frequent hassle of changing lens.
Received a faulty battery. And I am not able to ask for a replacement because Amazon won't allow me. The procedure gets stuck after step 2. Edit: Finally talked to the Amazon professional. Will be getting a replacement. Fingers crossed. Edit 2: Got a replacement. Everything is fine.
Pros-Very good camera for beginners, for better photos we have to buy good lenses with high aperture Cons- Doesn't come with in body stabilization, whether sealing, we can't expect these at this price range
Very versatile DSLR with nice capabilities if the 18-140mm Nikkor vr lens. It's been two years I have been using the D5300 and I must say it's a very decent midsize camera. If you want to go anywhere near professional quality photography you should start with the D5300 18-140 lens as it would provide you great flexibility whether shooting indoor, outdoor, landscape, portrait, night pics & almost everywhere. The size is not as big as a full frame so you can carry it easily. The dials /buttons are easy to use. The griping is good. Card slot is separate which I like while changing the memory without removing battery. Wifi connect you to your smartphone so you can instantly download snaps as well as use you phone as extended viewfinder and remotely click.Gps location, Good battery life of around 600-800 shots. Overall I am satisfied with the features. Happy clicking👍
The Camera Nikon D5300 is a great way to kick start the world of photography, great and stable body with crystal clear lenses. Cool features like wireless pic transfers and various picture modes. Better to buy with 70-300mm lens.
