I ordered three of these bag holders to replace the hard plastic one I used to own but can't seem to find. I used an electric wire-staple to pin the loop handle of the bag to the inside of a cabinet in the laundry area and have been using that for about a week or two. Those bags are mostly for lining the waste paper cans and scooping out the cat's box, holding packed lunches and snacks and whatever other miscellaneous tasks that crop up. We'll see how it holds up over the long term, but it seems to be strong and sturdy. The second one I hung from the clothing bar in a closet near the front door. The loop is sized just right for those closet bars, which is good. That one, I stuffed with those small bags that the newspaper gets delivered in. I use those for cleaning up after the the dog. Now, I don't have to have every pocket of every jacket stuffed with baggies 'just in case'.
In the short time I've used these bag savers I've found them to be convenient, functional, and tough enough for the job. They work just exactly as you would expect them to work. The bag-saver looks like a tube-shaped pillow when it's full of bags. Since I've put them in a closet and the back of a cabinet I really don't think about how they look as long as they work, but they look fine. People mention, in other reviews, that the elastic at the top stretches out, but that hasn't happened to mine, at least not yet. The bag-saver part is not stretchy, and so doesn't grow and fill up more space than you would want. Once it's full, it's full, though you can compress it a bit to make more room.
The key to using a bag-saver, of any kind, is not to stuff a bunch of bags in there all tangled together. One at a time is best, or they become a problem at the dispensing end. Use it that way and it should last a long time. Plus these are inexpensive.
The way it is marketed could be better. First, improve on the picture by showing one that's open and installed and filled with bags, so that people can see for themselves how it works. There's an image on the packaging of a person using the bag-saver, but it's small, and it's impossible to see the loop or get a good idea of the bag saver's real shape once it's full. The packaging makes it look like a pair of bloomers. Secondly, I'd find a way to give people a choice what pattern to buy, because not everyone will put it inside a closet of cabinet and some will want to match patterns or colors.
