Even with all that packed in there, the backpack is comfortable and easy to wear! Our favorite features are the stroller straps, the insulated pouch for hot and cold items, and the pouch with a cut-out for easy-access to wet-wipes. Also worth noting is that the bags design makes it sit upright when placed on the floor, so it never falls over, and also makes it swing back when strapped to a stroller, so it never swings and hits your legs as you’re walking! Genius!
Only downside when purchasing this bag was how many times I was asked to leave a review. I get that as a starup company, reviews are much needed and appreciated. However, I was asked about 5 times in the span of a week to leave a review, and I hadn’t even had my baby yet! If I’d left a review then it would have been: Nice bag. As a customer, I hate being hassled like that, especially after paying so much it felt like they wanted more from me. With that said: love the bag. Happy to leave a review now that I’ve had a chance to use it. Would definitely recommend.
Old April 2016: My only complaint is that I had to stalk this bag for months because it was never in stock! Also, this is a real bad, not a puny little quick small in and out bag. This is a serious I'm out today for hours bag. Finally got my bag and it is hands down the best bag I own! I get compliments all the time from other mom's. The stroller strap feature is a back saver and head turner. New parents (or old parents) don't even know it's a diaper bag. I was also in close conversation with the CEO of bag nation via Facebook about when it woulds be back in stock. She replied to me at any hours of the night to answer my questions and connected me personally to let me know when it was back ink stock. Cherry on the top is after you purchase your bad they will email you a PDF of what should go in a diaper bag. Which is great for FTMs. I didn't include pics because other reviewers pics are accurate. I wanna buy another one just to have on deck.
To anyone giving a bad review on the quality you have got to be majorly overstuffing something to have it tear on the zippers or outright dragging, kicking, and just all around being ruthless with the bag to tear it.
The only thing I would have added on to this bag is a better changing pad that has a holding place for diapers/ diaper bag holder (for the plastic little doggy bag type bags to put dirty diapers in). In addition, to an added updated changing pad maybe a snap button added on the front flap to hold down the flat instead of magnets. Overall I could not ask for a better diaper bag and I'm still super excited to have this bag. Plus the lifetime warranty they offer makes it absolutely more worth the while to get this bag so if it does just so happen to tear you get a free replacement. How can you lose those options.....
Go Bag Nation!!! 😄
I have a super sensitive baby and my baby (27 lb) always ask me holding or hugging, never walking, sometimes my baby sit on the stroller. (My stroller handle can't hold my diaper bag because of safety reasons.)
For example, if i don't stand up and hold or hug my baby, my baby always cries at the library storytime. So I usually stand up and hug my baby 30 min until the storytime end. Therefore, I can't use my both hands at a time and I need to solve everything with one hand with holding my baby. Last year, I used a crossbag because I need to pick items up from the crossbag with one hand. I thought it was the best way, but that's not true. And It made my shoulders and neck pain more than one year. I tried to use other bags, but not satisfied.
However, this Bag Nation Backpack solves many problems and I am really happy with that. Why didn't I bought this backpack earlyer? I feel stupid, but now I'm happy with this Bag Nation Diaper Bag Backpack.
My one and only complaint is I wish there had been more colors to choose from. But the bag is so well made, so perfect for my pump, and so user friendly anyway, it's very very minor. I'd rather have the high quality bag protecting my pump than a silly color option.
~ A grateful Mom!
My 12oz lifefactory glass water bottle, in a thick sleeve, fits perfect in the insulated pocket. Honest Co wipes (brand new full pack) fits perfect in the wipes pocket. The two tall skinnier side pockets are perfect for easy diaper access on one side, and a few random on the go toys on the other. Lower front zipper is perfect for throat drops, lip gloss, chapstick, hair ties/clips, or a good change pocket. Middle zipper has his headband headphones. Top zipper is the owie pocket, boo boo ointment and bandaids will go in there. Velcro pocket is huge, perfect for a big tub of baby booty cream, sunscreen, pads for mommy, and still tons of room. I mean, really... super stoked I found this bag.
