Internet is vast by way of subjects and contents and so are the business websites discussed by Anuradha Goyal. To bring order to the chaos Anuradha smartly divides the websites into three section – Commerce, Content and Connectors.
Commerce section tells the story of retailers like Flipkart, MakeMyTrip, BigBasket and CaratLane. Content Section has the story of Zomato, Games2Win, ImagesBazaar and Chai with Lakshmi. While Connectors section tells the story of Shaadi.com, Rang De, CommonFloor and IndiBlogger.
The book is very well researched and catalogs an untouched subject area in Indian context. In fact it has the potential to offer some lecture material for business school students who have lot to learn from book. Language is straight forward and content is well researched and organized. Though from a general reader’s point of view author should have included some stories of struggle and triumph. But even without them book doesn't become boring at any place and is a good read for anyone.
I will give five out of the five to the book.
Simply focus on what actually is a digital entrepreneur and what actually is digital entrepreneurship, as you start reading it. Catch hold of basic concepts and the fundamental building blocks of setting up an e-business.
Her thorough insight coming from her vast experience is a blessing for aspiring entrepreneurs to establish themselves, for established entrepreneurs to flourish and excel. Students and aspirants can read these accounts as case studies while the businesses can read to set their benchmarks and identify milestones. Every single account is worth a read and read between the lines for acquiring more precision.
I am all praise about the book and I am confident that this is going to be one of the best books from Radom House India kitty. Just to share with you readers, it took me more time than expected because there is more than reading this book, it is enriching.
For those that might never have worked on a business case study... this book is one with a lot of questions, answers, and how these answers were arrived at... AND....the question of... now that we solved this...WHAT NEXT!?!?!
A book-capsuled mini business course.
The book offers a lot of insights that are just not available online in interviews on youtube or any business blogs or magazines.
