Great! Easy to understand even for beginners
Reviewed in India on 18 July 2018
This book was recommended to me by my stock market teacher. I am a beginner in this field and it helped me a lot. Though i tried reading other books before this, most of them were getting very difficult to understand because of their complicated language filled with jargons. This is the first book i read and understood well and hence highly recommend.
The book starts from the basics with explaining the red/green candle and candlestick reading to understand the subtle language of the market like interpreting greed or fear (demand and supply) in investors. Studying this book helps in finding market entry and exit points more quickly and with reliability. Thus, it starts at a beginner level and gradually moves to a more advanced level.
The chart patterns are explained in great detail and are very easy to understand as the author explains in a simple way. What is nice also is that it has Indian examples, so it becomes relatable. There don't seem to be many good books of this type about Indian stocks, most bestselling books are by foreign authors. I have attached a pic of the 'Table of Contents' so you can have an idea about the topics covered.
This is a very good book. Very easy to understand. Even if you are not from commerce background you can understand clearly. I even purchased an extra copy for a recently retired uncle who wants to start investing in stocks; he has never done so before and found this book helpful.
I found a few pages blank in the book, so please check your copy carefully when you receive it.
You can get the most out of the book if after understanding the concepts, you actually try to detect these patterns in actual stocks. Just reading and not actually practicing on real stocks will just give one theory knowledge. It is very important to see charts of stocks and understand it if you want to actually be confident while trading. I would recommend trying to study these patterns on the 50 stocks of Nifty.
(For beginners I would also suggest that while trading, along with chart patterns from this book, it would also be good to understand RSI, Stochastic, Moving Averages Volume, Pivot points concepts. They are not covered in this book, so I did these concepts from YouTube videos. )
