Recently I got to read this book which is a collection of two murder mystery stories. These are intriguing short tales and they revolve around two characters: Abhi Sarkar and his best friend. They plan for adventures which conclude to errie situations of solving some unusual crime mysteries.
If you are in stories that start with an interesting way of entrance into the plot and later conclude into somewhat open of an open ending which lets your mind find out your own version of what might have happened actually, this book will be an entertaining read.
I picked this book for it has the term sociopath in it. Most riveting thrillers consist of characters who are either psychopaths or sociopaths or have disorderly minds. So yes the title is catchy.
Coming to these stories, they are interestingly plotted. A bit of editing on the grammer part can give this book another push towards its success. Characters have been created nicely with a mysterious halo around their identity. They are smart, agile and very curious to solve the enigma around each case.
Even the title of the stories are witty.
I recommend it to beginners as the length of the tales are short and language is lucid.
I encourage the author to write more in this series.

‘My Friend is a Sociopath’ is a work of fiction. Any resemblance to actual events or persons, living or dead, is entirely coincidental. All these characters were created based on some unique perspective. The mystery-solving or the deduction aspects are used for showcasing the skills of lead characters. The story starts with Avhi Sarkar and with his best friend who are on their adventure trip which turns into a bizarre and weird murder mystery situation. The endings of each story are made w.r.t different viewpoints with some unusual questions. You will perceive the chills and the frustration towards the end of these stories. Whether or not your mind is blown, you will not end up feeling disappointed with the book.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

It is the end which left me wondering about lot of unanswered questions and I felt the ending somewhat incomplete. According to the blurb though, author has intended to end the stories that way. 📝Overall the writing is simple and engaging. Stories hold the sense of mystery till the end. Though at a places, I felt a little more finer editing was required to omit the errors. Apart from that and the ending, I overall enjoyed reading the book. 📖

𝐌𝐲 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐬 𝐀 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡
Author : @sahebthebaka
Genre : Crime/Thriller
Pages : 82
.
Curious Ahvi Sarkar apparently ends up in a crime scene and the story thread develops as Avhi with his observational skills feeds his curious mind. The book has a total of two stories ; Ant Colony & Ice Cream which is further subdivided into three chapters. The stories are not interconnected except our curious protagonist Ahvi and his exceptional observational skills
.
Even not being a big fan of thrillers ; I finished the book in one sitting ,credits to the page turning narration I must say.
Both the stories run on a similar plot when Avhi ; the moody young boy ; curious & extraordinary intelligent with his acquaintances ends up in a mysterious situation and hence Avhi's curiousity cravings leads to it's solution. The crime solving sequence is very well presented tallying both fact and fiction and that's what makes the stories more interesting.
.
Towards the end I felt that the protagonist Ahvi shows split perosonality ; that's the narration of case solving by devilish & curious side of Avhi by his calm & gentle self thus it adds more colours to the thread. The cover and title is attention grabbing and evokes the reader to step into the story
.
The open ended question climax leaves the reader clearly confused , curious and frustrated I must say
.
The grammatical errors in Kindle version and the blurry information about the basic nature of the characters can be pointed out as certain limitations
.
Thrillers are indeed a difficult genre as of considering it from the writer's side . Keeping the element of suspense and the reader hooked throughout the thread is indeed a difficult task .As a debut work the author did an amazing job and was successful in doing the same.Wishing the author all the best for his future ventures

My friends is a sociopath is collection of 2 short stories depicts the tale of different murders where our protagonist Avhi Sarkar happenes to be the common thread during investigation. 🕵️♂️
First story is named 'The Ants colony' where in an abandoned tent at faraway place Avhi Sarkar and his friend Avhi found a dead body covered with ants. 🐜🐜🐜
So the conclusion I've drawn from my understanding is Avhi has kind of dual/split personality disorder where the second Avhi resides in his subconscious mind helps Avhi to investigate the murders.🧠
And Ice Cream is a second story where group of 4 friends died mysteriously in Avhi's neighborhood where he investigates the case along with his another neighbour. 🍨

It’s a small book that can be read in two hours. It’s a book if fiction genre. I will keep my reviews short to avoid spoilers. The protagonist of the story is Avhi Sarkar. The book includes two doff incidents and stories. Avhi and his friends solved two crimes or murder mysteries. Both the stories are different in nature. They are unique to each other, I liked that part. The language of the book is for adults. It’s simple and easily understandable though. I liked the story line for both the books but I won’t discuss as the revelation of plot may lead to spoilers. As it’s short and have good suspense. I liked the suspense created by the author. I wanted a long story but this one is also fine. The narration style of the author is crisp. Overall good one. Recommended from my side.
