The board was not good for over clocking
Its support FMB 95w
And board getting too hot (80'C) and if you are playing games it will get terrible fps
Supported all DDR2 DDR3 RAMS but frequency will change to 1066 max with oc 1333
its just fine
This MSI Motherboard works fine as my previous mb. But there are some serious design flaws in this motherboard,
1. I'm using Asus Xonar D2X audio card, which if I plug in blocks 1 SATA port out of the 4 nos. I've to live with only 3 ports.
2. The IDE port is on the bottom side, so if the CD/DVD drive is fixed on the top slot, the cable hardly reaches the port.
3. The front panel connectors (for PW/RESET & HDD/PWR/RST/LED) are way too far back. I had to cut all the cables and extend it.
As a temporary solution for my situation, I was using a Gigabyte 945 chipset MB for the last couple of weeks which I got from a local shop. In that audio card couldnt even be installed because the RAM slot was blocking it. I wonder what these ppl were thinking while designing these motherboards. (Both MSI and Gigabyte) I didnt even know such issues existed. lol. The Intel DG31PR I was using was flawless in the design. Anyway if I'm upgrading the PC in the future, I'll be buying only the original intel mb.
My PC conf: Intel C2D E7300, 3GB ddr2 800, nVidia 9400GT 512mb, Asus Xonar D2x PCIe audio card, MSI G41 P33 COMBO. And no more LAN cables, I bought a usb wifi adapter as well and the telephone line is routed through surge protector now. :)
I dont have DDR3 Ram to check, hopefully it works fine in this board. I read in the wiki G41 supports 4gb ddr3 or 8gb ddr2.
