This is one short, quick read.
I really liked the cover, it's quite descriptive & conveys so much.
A "chota packet bada dhamaal" kindof a thing. I say so because it encompasses sooo much in just 168 pages.
It is quite realistic though.
There are 3 main characters in this script, a budding 🏏 cricketer, a female honest cop & a drug racket/ underworld don.
The cricketer gets in drugs & all, loses his career & eventually his true love, in the process. His girlfriend (biggest fan) is connected to kashmir, so kashmir angle is explored a bit too in the story. His only lifeline is his extremely cheeky instagram-o-holic friend, cheeku who keeps on pushing him to come out of dark shadows. Eventually he leaves drugs to make a comeback into his career & get back his love life.
The drug world/ underworld don is launching a new powder & to cover up he buys a criket team & a school & takes Vivank as the coach. This don, MM has also brought up an orphan girl like his own daughter, so that was a humane side of the Don to notice. She takes care of all the legal act.s of the Don & is a master in self defence.
Now MM wants to make it big in terms of money & sale of his new discovery via these cricket matches.
Zia, the cop wants to nab the Don during these matches.
Vivank, wants to make a comeback with these matches.
Who will succeed n at what cost is interesting to read about. MM's boss "the colonel" is another mystery. Also there's a Swami angle which is quite interesting. No spoilers here.
The narrative keeps on changing timelines which made me take a bit of time to adjust/ get the hang of.

Also the story ends on a cliffhanger. Fast paced, it is max. a 1 hour entertaining read.

Will Vivank be able to turn arround his life or again get attracted to drugs?What I liked :-Book is quite fast paced, easy language, short chapters, engaging and the end twist was really good.What I didn't like - Some characters were over the top and give u stereotype bollywood gunda vibes. Story could have been more explored.The book closes with a hint that there will be a sequel.
