So after seeing it successfully done at a friend's home, the only answer seemed to be mounting the TV onto the wall studs behind the built-in entertainment center and extending the mount through the entire box as far as possible. This is not minor feat as my enclosure was about 25" deep from the front edge to the end of the wooden backing and from there, a few inches more to the wall studs. This particular Aeon mount was the only one at consumer-level prices that could extend out past the 27"+ inches I needed to clear the enclosure.
After sawing off an opening in the entertainment center backing, I located the studs on the wall. It was, as predicted, not centered with where the TV mount needed to be. But since the stand has the ability to move from side-to-side, I was able to make the mount on the nearby studs and still center the screen with the entertainment center. The Aeon mount is heavy and extremely sturdy, so it was difficult to mount. But the end result is that it felt extremely sturdy, even when the arms are fully extended. With my limited DIY skills, I was not able to mount the stand perfectly horizontal (it was my second TV mount and both times I was about half-a-degree off), but since it is a full-motion stand with post-installation adjustment/correction capability, the TV looks perfectly straight. The arms are also compact enough such that I can hide my subwoofer inside the enclosure.
The only negative I could come up with is that the frame that actually holds the TV ends up blocking some of my HDMI inputs and it does take some muscle to push/pull/adjust the arms. Otherwise, this has been a great investment for me...and my wife (as now I can stand at my kitchen sink, which is located at an extremely acute angle from the TV, and still contently watch football while I wash the dishes).
I also bought the AEON-90200 sound bar bracket and attached a Vizio model SB3821-C6 sound bar to the top of the TV. It could easily mount to the bottom of the TV as well. I did this myself and it only took a short time because the AEON-45200 TV mount is made to accept the AEON-90200 sound bar bracket without removing the TV, the TV adapter or any of the wall mount assembly. This sound bar bracket easily allowed the 3" x 3" x 38" long sound bar to mount flush to the front of theTV and centered left to right. Plenty of hardware is provided to accommodate various situations. Couldn't be happier with both my AEON purchases.
The only suggestion I would provide is for the manufacturer to make the rear mount system wider to better accommodate wall stud placement; I built a custom section behind the mount, between the wall and the mount, to accommodate the fact that I had a stud right in the middle of where the mount had to be located. So, I am supporting the TV using a span over three studs. Had the mount been long enough to span the distance across three studs, it would have been absolutely ideal. But, no other mount with similar positioning capability, even at double the price had this rear mount length either. Anyway, it holds the LCD wonderfully well, it articulates very easily, and it readily accommodates vertical angular positioning for ideal 3D viewing. Again, I couldn't be more pleased.
I am now going to an 80 inch 3D LCD, and it will obviously work just fine without any modifications (my motivation for writing this review as I am so pleased with the mount). You can't go wrong with this mount! Kudos to the manufacturer, and for others with similar mounting challenges as I, perhaps it could be even more capably implemented with a larger rear mount for the above said mounting conditions.
