I'm a fan of Lenovo. I've never had a Lenovo product leave me in a rut through its fault. They have always come through. So after reading their specs, I went for Lenovo Yoga 300 for my wife whose other laptop was giving her problems.
This is a great system. Everything about it is well planned and constructed. I was surprised at the quality of the piece out of the box.
The first thing you notice when you switch it on is that its boot-up speed is very good and touch screen is big and responsive.
There are several Lenovo apps that she does not use so I've uninstalled them and most of the superfluous bundled software. Other than that nothing is needed to keep it running at its peak without problems.
The sound is clear and pretty loud at the high setting. The screen is 1366x768 which is not really HD but the movies look very crisp and without jerks or jitters.
There is no SSD on her system but since she's not a gamer on a laptop, she doesn't miss it at all.
The battery life is great. It can tackle a whole day of normal work with a single charge. I don't think she shuts it down except on the weekends. The sleep mode is so well planned that there is very little battery drain when its not in use. She puts it on charge in the mornings and once its charged, its ready for a whole day of work.
