It's good for the price.Let me line out some of the good and bad things about it.
-No heating issues
-Nice to have R5 graphics 2GB
-Works perfectly with windows 8/10
-Heavy softwares, tested fine with this,(BEST PART ABOUT THIS LAPTOP)
-Does not freeze at 80% CPU load
-Plays 4K videos without any issues
-AMD A8 rocks
-Palmrest is thin plastic (ok kind of), other brands in this price range like Dell, HP etc have better palmrest quality
-Shift key on the Right is on a difficult location. You shall end up pressing UP arrow many a times
-Only 1XUSB 2.0 ans 1XUSB 3.0
-Battery charges slowly and discharges quickly
-no express charging option in BIOS
-Un-uniform charge from the battery to the board may sometimes cause the touchpad erratic
OVERALL: This laptop does the work for which i bought it.No freezing issues even once.
One of the main reason I bought this was the 8GB RAM and 2GB dedicated graphics.
Here are my observations.
- The 8 GB ram has been adequate.
- I never encountered overheating.
- relatively quiet.
- runs Photoshop/IDEs fairly smoothly.
- runs most 2015-16 released games at low/med settings.
- You can run one VM almost, be sure to enable the AMD VM capabilities in BIOS menu
- I hate the right Shift key position with the arrow keys. That’s one of my pet peeves with this laptop.
- the battery charge is roughly around 1.5 hrs.
- only one usb 3.0 port.
I got this for 23K without any OS. As I am looking for another laptop now browsing through the likes of Dells and HPS, For that range of < 30k I believe this is the best you can get.
