"Monika Juan has reached a state where she can’t tell what’s real and what’s not, anymore. Her nightmares have started to enter reality, making her world one big nightmare by itself. While the thought of her world in peril gnaws at her mind, she is running out of time. She must soon face the truth….the reality. Will she be able to see through the fog that clouds the doors of truth? Will she face it? Or will it end her?" "About the Author: Amrutha Hasandka lives in Mysore with her parents and has completed her 10th standard at Excel Public School, Mysore. The writer Amrutha will enthrall readers of every age group blending philosophy and fantasy with a rich sweep of her imagination. Her creation, 'THE LAPSE' is a gripping tale where the protagonist undergoes stress, tension, worry, anxiety, pain, suffering, hurt and more emotions. The author creates a terrifying world which chillingly echos with resonances of contemporary times. The entire narration is marked by a fine blend of horror and suspense. The story also carries a subtle message-"Become the boss of your own mind". The mind is like an untamed animal. It has to be taught self discipline and obedience and this will further lead to control of it and thoughts.
All in all, it is a must read as it gives a gratifying experience. The language used is simple yet engrossing. Also the use of simple and short sentences adds to the simplicity of the book. A vibrant and rambunctious read. !!
I wish Amrutha all the very best for her future endeavour. No doubt,it is very evident that this little author would definitely
make a mark in the field of English Literature.
Dear Amrutha, I'm glad u gave me a copy of ur first book! I didn't know u could write so well and thoroughly enjoyed reading it! Firstly the cover captured my attention. It's unique and mysterious! The story telling is gripping and interesting enough to not want to keep it aside!
It explores the inside of the mind of Monika, the confusion, fear and doubts. How she dealt with and got over it with help.
U r an inventive young writer with a lot of imagination. I'm looking forward to reading more of ur books '
