MY STATE OF MIND
It gives me immense pleasure to share with global readers my English Poetry Translation LANGUAGE FUSED IN BLOOD , of Rajasthani Poems, originally composed by Dr. Neeraj Daiya under title PAACHE KUN AASI. I have taken privilege of changing the title, but with consent of the writer.
Dr. Neeraj Daiya is reputed poet, translator, critic, satirist and fiction writer, writing with equal authority in Rajasthani and Hindi. He has been honoured for story Book JADU RO PEN, by Sahitya Akedemi, under category of Literature for Children. Besides, he has won several awards and accolades on local, state and national level too. He is well known name in literary corridors and carved a niche for himself in the world of poetry.
He has been treading on path of letters since 1989, following footsteps of his father Late Sh. Sanwar Daiya, a literary icon of Bikaner, Rajasthan.
More than 25 books have been composed and translated by him so far and his literary journey is continuing with unending zeal and enthusiasm. His compositions cover a variety of topics on burning issues.
The English version of his selected poetry offers a variety of emotions as his poetic world is not confined to any particular theme and his poems are an expression of a human being with a deep will to survive, to struggle and invoke others to struggle for change and building a new society, full of hope and aspirations. Perpetually interacting with life and the world, he is a distinguished poet. His poems are enriched with lofty thoughts, deep perceptions, straightforwardness and sensibility.
I have spent 35 beautiful years of my life in literary and culturally awakened city of Bikaner, Rajasthan and still keep on visiting at least once or twice a year. I feel it my liability that through my literary efforts, Rajasthani gains global recognition in the field of literature. My several short stories and poems, translated from Rajasthani into English as target language have been already published in Bhartiya Anuvad Parishad and in Indian Literature, a journal of Sahitya Akedemi, besides in several state and national level magazines , journals and as digital literature too.
Recently, I have translated Rajasthani Poetry Book UTROON UNDHAI KALAJE, composed by reputed poet and critic Ravi Purohit ji , into English under the title FATHOMING THY HEART. Besides, from Rajasthani, my Translated English Poetry Book REVERIES, translation of selected Punjabi poems of Dr. Amarjit Kaunke has been released in July and two other books are also under publication. I am a multi lingual poet, polyglot and blogger.
I am a diehard fan of writings of Dr. Neeraj Daiya and his poems stir chords of my heart. With a noble intention of making his writings available world-wide, I ventured to translate his poems from Rajasthani into English so that besides being enjoyed by readers of English Language, it can be further translated into other regional languages of India as well as in other International Languages.
It will be a matter of immense satisfaction to me if these translated poems of mine provide a treat not only for eyes, but also for mind of voracious readers world wide. I will appreciate your reviews.
