To set up,
1. make sure the RPi is running latest kernel/firmware, use apt-get to do it if necessary.
2. make sure the device is detected, with 'lsusb' command.
3. make sure the RealTek kernel module is loaded, with 'lsmod' command.
4. make sure the 'wlan0' interface is up, with 'ifconfig' command.
5. modify the configuration in /etc/network/interfaces.
Many tutorials show placing the configuration in /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf, it did not work for me.
I had to place 'wpa-ssid' and 'wpa-psk' directly in the /etc/network/interfaces to make it work.

Item does not come with a install CD. instead you get directions for downloading updated drivers. no biggy. Also in the description is shows B/G but on back of package it is a B/G/N wi-fi dongle. Its hard to see in the picture. but it is there.
It is not the most powerful dongle. its not made to be more than about 30 feet from router. For me that is perfectly fine. my RPI will be for field use. but won't need wifi in the field, and I'll remove dongle for security reasons. It works.
If you have a Raspberry Pi 2 with Ubuntu, save yourself some frustration and get this dongle. it worked straight out of the box with no drivers to install.
100% plug n' play
As soon as it booted, it already displayed the wifi icon in the task bar, from there, is configurable as it would be in any other OS.
I'm using it for nvidia's gamestream, and it adds up a bit of lag, but it still works for me, mind you, my raspberry is fairly close to my router so there is no reason i dont get good signal to it. Just don't buy this if you plan on using this at more than 10meters from your router, or through several thick walls. It probably won't work. And if it does it will be a low speeds.
I'm rating it 5 stars because is plug and play, and for this price i really can't expect more of what it already offers.
If you are looking for a more reliable and flexible device you should be looking to other(bigger) adapters.
