I have had a 120GB Kingston V300 for the past 1 year, and i have all my games on it.
Never had a problem with that model in the last one year.
Performs consistently and well enough to not bottleneck my games.
I have installed Assassins creed on my 240GB which i got yesterday and played it at consistent 50-60 FPS from this SSD. So no performance bottlenecks from this SSD.
Also i have installed 2 games on it till now and write speeds are decent enough.
V300 series is much better than the UV400 or UV300, and many sellers here send UV300 instead of V300.
My rig - core i7 2nd gen, 6GB ram, 2Gb nvidia GT540M.
Boot time - 4 secs (windows 8.1)
Copy/Paste within partitions - 300Mbs+/-
Got this SSD for running multiple VMs on my machine(10). Solves my purpose. Each VM works as if its a whole new computer with dedicated physical resources. (Earlier with Mechanical Hard disk it used to hang).
Good price compared to others. Value for money
Comes with space adjuster ( good to purchase 2.5 to 3.5 spacer if you are going to use this on desktop).
Cons: dont thing its gud for gamers.
Slow speed compared to other ssd but faster than hdd.
If you are ok with the speed or you have a sata 1 or 2 port or limited budget then go for this one.
If out of budget you can use 32/64/128 gb just to have your os. That will also improve things significantly. Combined with USB 3.0 read/write speeds are totally awesome.
Hope these become much cheaper and mainstream.
Guys this SSD Drive is only useful if you are using it as boot drive or system drive. It isn't that much powerful and speedy as we seen in various reviews but yes better than HDDs. It has Read Speed about 220 MB/s and Write Speed about 120 MB/s. Just 15% to 20% fast.
