As far as the placement of the screen for input -- remove the keypad and the front edge of the screen where there is a very small strip of Velcro - will come all the way forward and secure tight - you can place at many different angles this way. Hold keypad in lap or place on table in front of you and before the Ipad mini itself. Works very well.
Maybe Kensington will send me a free something for solving the 2 problems for them -- (guess not)
The main problems with the product are that:
1. The keyboard is smaller than a standard keyboard, and touch typing is not all that easy for someone with large hands. My wife's hands are much smaller, and even she doesn't like it all that much either.
2. With the keyboard in its space, the folder is heavier and more cumbersome than I expected, making reading ebooks with it more of a chore than preferable. The ease with which the keyboard can be removed, however, ameliorates the problem somewhat, however.
3. The loop to hold a stylus is so small that only an ultra thin stylus will fit in it.
All-in-all, although the product is of good quality, I probably would not but another one, but search for a product that is designed a bit better.
It is a nice thick leather, so the ipad mini is well protected, but unfortunately, this does not work well for me. The quality is good, it's just too small to be practical for those who are touch typists. I have an Acer netbook which has a small keyboard, but the keys are in the right place, and it's big enough for me to type easily.
