Perhaps there aren't too many "exactly how to do this or that" pieces of advice, but there are heaps of valuable concepts discussed and illustrated. It is not hard to figure out how to apply them in your own life, to suit your own circumstances.
The book casts a wide net and looks at self-improvement from an Oriental perspective, without false expectation, quantum leaps and instant gratification.
American readers may find this work too philosophical and not "grounded" enough. As an English migrant to Australia, I have been enjoying the exposure to the Oriental frame of mind (although, interestingly enough, the author is a Yugoslav, i.e. South-East European!) If you are looking for fast and easy (and usually wrong and simplistic) answers, don't look here.
I found Kaizen and You mentally stimulating and inspiring and got many good ideas from it.
It seems to me that this book was written to capitalize on the Kaizen craze. It has about as much relationship to Kaizen as a random self-help book you pull off a shelf.
If someone talked like this in a seminar, I would walk out. I'm writing this review to save others the same disappointment. Also, the printing in my copy is really bad, some double images and unreadable pages.
A far better book is: "One Small Step Can Change Your Life : The Kaizen Way." This book impressed me so much I bought "Kaizen and You" just to see what other people had to say on the subject of Kaizen and self improvement.
