Players go on a safari through a specific biosphere and sight important animals from there. The gamebox contains a large game board, dice with 6 sides, safari vehicles, game cards and a rulebook.
The game progresses with the roll of the dice, which also represents the chance of sighting wild animals while on a real safari. Players draw game cards from the stack during the game play. Every card shows the picture of an animal and carries fixed points. Star Cards are for rare animals and carry bigger points.
The game ends when all the cards are drawn. The player collecting the highest number of points wins the game.

Children will find the experience of playing Kaadoo very exciting and entertaining. They get to see rare animals on the cards and earn game points. They will get a sense of motion and the game literally takes them to an imaginary forest trail.
Players spread the board out on a table or the floor and sit around the four faces of the board, each representing a zone. The card deck is placed in the centre of the board with the face down. Every player picks up a safari vehicle and places it outside the entry gate with the vehicle of matching colour. A game session starts with one of the players rolling the dice. Every player needs a throw of 1,3 or 5 in order to enter the forest. With every roll of the dice, a player moves her vehicle as many number of blocks as the number thrown. She is eligible to draw a card only when 2,4 or 6 is thrown. Game rules printed on the board itself need to be followed when specific blocks are reached. This could include the rights to pick a card, move certain blocks backwards, miss a turn etc. Similarly, there are game rules printed on select cards. Players may go out of the board during play but are allowed to come back. Kaadoo card and Paapa card are cards with special powers to overrule the opponent’s action. Players add up their points to find the winner after the last card has been drawn.
The artistically designed and produced game board gives the players the feel of the safari trail.Safari vehicles [pawns] and dice are child-friendly, with smooth edges and non-toxic colours. Cards are hand-drawn and printed vividly on art paper
A leisurely game of Kaadoo can help children bond with their family, friends and neighbors. This will help them develop a high emotional quotient

Describe your product in 3 words.
How did you come up with the idea for this product?
The concept for this game originated in the minds of the co-founders, who are passionate about safaris, wildlife photography and nature conservation. Several brainstorming sessions later, the vague notion of making a board game around the real safari outing crystallised in the form of an elegantly designed and a unaiue, exciting board game
What makes your product special?
It is like no other board game that claim to be safari-themed. Every game is the result of thorough research by our teams and fact-checks by the World Widlife Fund India. This is the only game from India to carry the WWF logo
What has been the best part of your startup experience?
It has been very thrilling, especially when the games were received very well in the market. We did this without any expensive, prolonged market reasearch or beta tests, but went by our gut feel. We are happy that the product has been accepted very well even in the sophisticated US market. It is enormously satisfying when Bittu Sahgal, an icon of nature consevation, endorses Kaadoo.

What I loved:
The feel of the board and the little cars. Kids actually spent some time looking at the cars like separate toys themselves.
The game was easy enough to play - children managed to understand the rules by reading the rules off the cards as well as the A3 sheet that is included with the snapshot of the rules.
Great overall board ergonomics and I was able to open the board quite easily.
The kids were quite happy about the experience of 'sighting' animals and collecting the star cards. They made out almost immediately that some cards were more 'special' than others.
It's also really great to see a game that does not have "Made In China" stamped all over it!
Pros: 1) Excellent make. Sturdy board (though mine doesnt quite lie flat on the floor) and great quality of pieces and cards. Lovely large wooden dice. 2) Extremely child friendly at the same time being interesting for adults. Playing it back to back doesnt make it boring. 3) It is largely educational. The animal cards give small pieces of interesting information, and my daughter now knows many new animals (within 3 days!)
Cons: 1) I was so happy with the purchase, I thought i'd buy another Kaadoo game of a different biosphere. Sadly, I found that all the boards and most of the animal cards were the same. The board for each game itself could be made much more interesting by adding different challenges on different routes (Please hear, makers!) And please change the layouts over the different biospheres else, no one will buy two Kaadoo games.
2) The cards and their point scoring system are very basic. I came up with modified rules and points to make the game more interesting for my daughter. Once that is done, its all awesome all the way!
Hoping Kaadoo makers will bring out more such awesome games in the near future!
