It was only a matter of time before JBL engineers decided to infuse best-in-class sound with the wireless convenience of Bluetooth technology. Introducing the J56BT, a wireless headphone with all of the freedom and flexibility that comes from cutting the cord. With their swivel-style pivoting earcups and advanced 40mm drivers dishing out signature JBL PureBass performance, the J56BT speaks volumes when it comes to sound. But that's on half the fun. Using the simple user interface on the outer earcup, not only can you please, and control music volume precisely, but you can instantly turn your headphones into an advanced Bluetooth 3.0 wireless headset for both incoming and outgoing calls. In the fast and furious pace of today's world, why would you settle for anything less than both?

Mine lasted almost exactly 9 months. They have been a wonderful 9 months, up until today when the cheap glue or whatever epoxy that was used to bind the plastic pieces together from the right hand head phone frame to the top head cushion frame simply fell apart.
I am quite upset with this ... malfunction. I was in the middle of a call with the customer giving them a walkthrough of the new system I had implemented and it popped off dangling. This made me look very unprofessional, as for a minute I was left wondering what to do until I realized I had a spare set of CHEAP headphones from five years ago that are still working.
I have contacted JBL support and the buyer yet no response has been sent out to my emails and requests for support.
Cons: Battery life blows, you get about 4 to 6 hours if you are lucky before needing a recharge. Top casing broke. If you examine the picture there is a silver bar that is open. Over time this causes friction and stress on the plastic and it will snap if you have a larger head like me. Then it is pretty much completely broken. I bought this in February 2016 and on November 2016 it broke, then completely broke so it was not usable.
I wish the structure was made better else it would be a good deal, but as having this structural fault it cannot be recommended. I would give it two stars as it took almost a year to break, but given that I have AKG monitor headphones I have had for over ten years and they have no structure damage that is not really saying much.

The reason why I wanted to return these is how uncomfortable they start to become after 30 mins of use. Moreover the bass isn't that strong as I have wanted, as an average consumer. Finally, like a lot of people have said, there is a bug with this headphone where it just freezes and the light remains on forever instead of blinking (as in the picture). This has happened to me twice in the past 2 days of purchase already. You have to plug it in the charger while holding to power button to turn it off.
Overalls nice sound, but too buggy and not for me.
