Yet another brilliant work from Amish. Finished in two days. The book is about 188 pages and has four sections- Religion & Mythology, Social issues, History and Musings. Mostly I liked the Religion and mythology section. But others are worth reading. He connects with readers very easily and I somehow end up agreeing with him. 😃😃. Looking forward to Raavan- The orphan of Aryavarta now.
Between scion of ikshvaku n warrior of mithila, there has been many overlapping narrative. While this can be need to connect dots, it sounded repetitive. Similarly, here as well, many articles/speeches had overlapping thoughts. While that's something expected of multiple articles/speeches, such repetition in complication made an otherwise amazing book, boring.
Perfect book at perfect time. To know about India, there is no need of large volumes, Immortal India is enough. This book is an answer to all who ask 'What is the greatness of India.' In each and every aspect like mythology, history, society etc this book carries answers with proofs. The main reason to admire this book a lot is, this book makes us proud to be born in India, this book does'nt just restrict itself to a specific religion and make its readers open minded on different issues. In Shiva Trilogy Amish dealt between Good and Evil. In The Ram Chandra Series, he is discussing about An Ideal Society. But in this book, i personally found the effort of Amish to make the upcoming generation to know about Mother India and carry the traditions forward by covering all the topics he can. It is a duty of every Indian to know about this country's greatness and this book helps us in knowing about it. This is a definite read by everyone. I thank Amish who made us 'think' about our Motherland in this busy life and i expect more such kind of books from him. And, eagerly waiting for Raavan - Orphan Of Aryavarta.
The power of Amish's work is that it always gives you a new dimension to look at everything. A wonderful way of putting up the facts. Like he says "a goodbook should always leave you with a question". This one leaves you deeply troubled with all sorts of questions, ranging from 'how truly Indian u are?' to 'what is your purpose for this life?'. The only thing I'm sad about is that the book ended very quick. I hope the next book comes out soon.
Immortal India by Amish! so, one should not make "A Miss", by not reading his first nonfiction book. It describes past & present of India's Outlook. Including history, mythology, social issues and Religion, And hence making a perfect Fusion! If you have read and have any questions on Shiva Trilogy and Ramachandra Series, You will get the answer for some of the queries. So, one can buy IMMORTAL INDIA Definitely it’s a good Idea!
I enjoyed Shiva Trilogy a lot and RamChandra Series was also good. As I heard Amish is writing a non-fiction book. I was very much excited to read it. I had a lot of expectations from Amish and he has fulfilled every expectation. Waiting for your more non-fiction books.
It is basically a collection of all the speeches and things that Amish has spoken about on stage or has written in the newspaper, it is just properly organised. So if you are a big fan of Amish and you have been following his work then you don't need to read this book.
Liked everything about this book. Great content. Amish had put a lot of hard work in this one. On the downside though, for people who haven't read much of his work, the beginning of this book won't be of much interest. So just skip a few pages ang your good to go.
