I feel very fortunate to write review of this special memoir of his Holiness , The Swamiji. My humble obeisance onto his lotus feet. I was blessed and fortunate to come in contact with Dearest Swamiji thru Speaking Tree. I was immediately impressed by simplicity and depth of his spiritual wisdom. I happened to meet some of his earliest devotees and was perplexed to hear about his extraordinary in most hostile environment. My first meeting with Swamiji was out of world experience for me, wherein I just melted in front of his unimaginable compassion for one and all. I cried in gratitude like I never cried in my lifetime. That experience has already become one of my most memorable experience of this life. Swamiji was initially reluctant to write this divine memoir. It was after persistent request by devotees like me, that Swamiji finally agreed, out of his love, grace and compassion for us. I am sure this divine Memoir of Swamiji has potential to change life of millions of people in unimaginable proportions. A must read memoir. --Vipul Nov 21, 2014
I knew I had to read this book and I did, I loved this book and finished it in two days, and after that I haven't had the desire to read any other self-help book. I wish to re-read it once again because I liked it so much. I strongly suggest that this book should be read. It has been an eye opener for me. --Purnima Das Dec 27, 2014
The title of the book unveils its potential. It's simply outstanding and exceptionally well written. It reflects the truthfulness of the writer and deeper insights, which really inspired me to reflect on my inner truth. I have read many books but this is the first book in my life that I read in almost at one go. I found it extremely gripping with vigour to take me in highs and lows. I was floating in the zone which I have heard that existed but never knew that someone can actually pursue it in real life. The real life incidents accompanied with inner realizations is very interesting throughout this book. A must read --Hemma Dec 8, 2014

I think young generation like this book more than the older generation.
If you are looking for spiritual guidance (like "Autobiography of a Yogi"), this book is not for you, though the book is memoir of a yogi.
When you start reading the book, you start feeling like you are watching a movie where protagonist always wins does not matter what the circumstances are :-)
I don't think you get anything take away from this book. Having said that I still recommend this book.
It is highly recommended for those who are beginners in spiritual life though it can be read by anybody. It's worth reading.
As it happens while reading someone's Autobiography, we start assuming that he/she is Godman or some superhuman and feel that, reaching to those heights is like reaching to everest.
But when I read Om Swami's Autobiography, many aspects relates to my life, similar struggles in spiritual and materialistic world, same treatment in Ashram's, similar obstacles in Meditation and so on...he seems to be mirror image.
I think this is what makes "If truth be told" very special, he is one us, still stands out and ready to embrace everyone with open heart, please read it.
For me It's the kind of book that qualifies as a bestseller. A gripping and honest account that moves you to tears, makes you think, question your own purpose in life.
In the words of Om a Swami, 'It's a very short life. It must be celebrated, it must be lived. Life is not a challenge that needs to be faced. Nor is it an enemy that needs to be fought. For that matter, it's not a problem that needs solving either. It's a flowing river, and all we need to do is to flow with it.'
