Body shaming of the dark skinned is a very common practice sometimes accepted too. The trauma and embarrassment of the ones at the receiving end is unimaginable.
This story is how a loving family uplifts an old family friend's daughter and instills the confidence in her to believe in her own strength and find love in her childhood friend. There are some thrilling plots and nail biting moments too. All in all a well rounded and entertaining read.
PS = Was worth loosing sleep to complete it
