Alas, the author makes no difference b/w Hinduism and Hindutva, whereas, disagreement & descent is the essence of Hinduism-out of its six orthodox schools of philosophy-Nyaya, Vaishesshika, Yoga, Mimansa, and Vidanta (Purva & Uttar) Samkhya, Yoga and Mimamsa while not rejecting either the Vedas or the Brahman, typically reject a personal God, creator God, or a God with attributes. While Samkhya and Yoga rejected the idea of an eternal, self-caused, creator God, Mimamsa argued that the Vedas could not have been authored by a deity. But, Hindutva is the ideology of militant Hinduism that is its political manifestation that wants to keep all other faiths at the secondary position and treats all non-Hindus as second/third class citizens and is inward-looking to the core.
Over all, a must read in today's trouble times.
