Now I have answers. This book satisfies my deep curiosity and is interesting in that way that other people's lives can be absolutely fascinating.
Having just turned 30, I know some of what she was going through at the start of the story. What is it called after you've "come of age"? It's not a coming-of-age book, but a Discovering One's Purpose book.
The writing is beautiful as well as clear and I'd highly recommend this book to everyone.
(The White Hindu)
I appreciated this book on many levels, as a woman, also in post divorce, and as someone who is in love with an Indian man. Sharell's witty and insightful description of her travels and relationships resonate with me, as I yearn to learn more about this fascinating culture. And as other reviewers have noted, Sharell's voice is refreshingly different from the self absorbed Eat Pray Love!
I'm hopeful that Sharell has a sequel to this delightful book in her future, and am a huge fan of her work. I wish for her continued happiness and success in India.
The book is a very well written, honest account of her experience and it teaches all of us one thing. Have the courage to go out of your comfort zone and have the courage to change your life to achieve what you want. Congratulations, Sharell. Good Job !
