Product description
The Blue light filter app makes your device screen adapt to the time of the day. It filters the flux of blue light emitted by your phone or tablet after sunset and protects your eyes with a soft and pleasant red filter. The filter intensity is smoothly adjusted to the sun cycle based on your local sunset and sunrise times.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we donโt use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Full of ads and doesn't quit, you have to force close the app and there is no background service so once closed the filter is not applied anymore.

It fits the screen, both portrait and landscape. Colors are blue, yellow, brown and green. You can adjust the amount of opacity for ease of reading and you can still adjust the brightness on Kindle. Definitely helps with the blue light, as I can sleep better after reading on the Kindle. I also leave it on partially during the day as the blue light isn't really that good for your eyes anyway.
5.0 out of 5 starsBest app for the eyes, the brown shade is perfect for me!

Been using my Kindles' default Blue Shade but it's still tough on the eyes for me, the colors seem way to glaring for me and simply adjusting the brightness does little. The Brown shade color is what makes this perfect for me though, being able to adjust the opacity is important as well. By far the blue filter app I've found. ๐

Some of the Amazon Kindle devices don't have or are seemingly unable to update to the latest version which automatically has a Blue Light filter function installed. In these cases, this particular app is invaluable, and has thus far proven fairly easy to use (offering multiple shades of color as well), although it does seem to require access to many parts of your Kindle.
