Part of the blame must fall on the publisher. To allow this kind of mangling of the English language to reach readers is awful, especially when you want me to pay for the book. It is one thing to see this kind of writing in blogs but to see it in published works is unacceptable.
The author or publisher needs to hire a proof reader whose primary language is ENGLISH! I have nothing against the author's primary language, but he is publishing this book in English. So, write English!
The author also is often not clear as to where in the various code files he intends for you to insert various examples. Some are obvious based on function signatures but at other times it is very vague just where the code is supposed to go. Sure, if I knew MVC inside-out it would probably be more obvious to me where the code should go. But the very reason I am reading this book is because I am not yet proficient with MVC.
I almost never return a book, but I am going to return this one. I have to wonder why the publisher made this writer look SO bad, and apparently failed to edit it before publishing.
