5.0 out of 5 starsSleek looking device, water tastes good
23 July 2019
I bought this device 2 months ago. Really happy with the way it works and water tastes. It was installed immediately by HUL team. Device is working fine and really happy. I was concerned with some feedback of device not working without electricity but it works with inverter connection. I could get water with it. Will give it 5 stars for the same.
After the 1st year of warranty, I almost paid them INR 7000/-, which is half the price itself for multiple maintenances (sedimentary filter, GKK2, motor burnt). I won't recommend this product to anybody. They will simply suck your money like anything. I'm very much disappointed with this product.
Not a good product from Hindustan Lever there are so many problems
1 it works only with electricity 2 Tap is not good you cant fill a bottle below this tap installation people said you should have check this option before buying is it possible to check this option before buying it
3 Installation people not helpful they need plumber for fitting installation is free but the doesnt co operate. You need a plumber when the installation people come whether there is work for plumber or not 4 Worst thing is it doesnt cut off you have to off the button may be mine is a faulty product 5 there were scratches on the outer body
Water purifier is good and overall performs well. But lacks basic feature as can't do manual tds level set, so if you want water to have more minerals, we can't change our tds content in water. Also can't dispense water without electricity even though water is there in storage tank. Can't understand it.. What's the use of storage than..
There are many players who need to play out perfectly to make your experience with a product like a water filter good. The seller Amazon, The manufacturer HUL, the agency which is contracted with the installation work and the plumber (a freelancer paid per installation) who actually does it. Now the delivery may happen quickly and the product may be good but should Amazon and HUL be held responsible for the work of the players lower down. I feel it should and hence the feedback.
Delivery was timely but installation was delayed by more than a week.
When it finally happened the installation was leaking. I figured the connector was broken. I hope it was defective piece and did not break due to over tightening (because that can be disastrous). I believe disgruntled and underpaid faceless players are the weakest link in this process. I finally fixed it myself at an additional cost of 240 to avoid endless customer service calls (people who start with a sorry). I hate products which create countless dependencies. I wish they came with an instruction manual. I guess a lot of us would be happier, but then who would go for the AMCs.
After using AquaGuard for around 12 years, I decided to upgrade. Some of my friends have Kent and have been happy customers. I decided to try something different. Pureit Ultima looked nice and seemed like a right fit. Form factor, display and the projected benefits looked worth the steep price to be paid. Unfortunately, the post sales service seems to be a nightmare. I truly wonder why people sell things when they cannot provide adequate support for the same. The filter got installed a few days after the arrival, after 10 to 12 calls and multiple complaints. The pump stopped working within 3 weeks of installation. A few days of downtime and then pump was replaced. I am a worried customer now. A car analogy would be a comparison between Maruti (no offence meant) and Volvo. Maruti might not have as good a reliability but has service stations everywhere, so you can relax thinking even if it breaks down, help will be nearby. Volvo has very few service stations but the vehicles are solidly built and (in most cases) won't need intermittent attention. Either one of these combinations work for me. Pureit Ultima seems like a built of Maruti and service of Volvo, a bad combination.
CONS: Well, it takes a while to even fill a glass of water, so be prepared to stand and wait for a good time if you are filling a bottle of water. The body is opening up at the joints where plastic parts hold each other together. A lot of wastage of water. Does not work without electricity.
PROS: Looks nice and elegant. Water taste is good.
After using this product for close to 18 months i can certainly say that this product is not worth the high price (more than 18k). While there are no complaints on water purification front, i issues i have been facing are related to service and high maintenance cost. Pureit service is poor, they have 3rd party mechanic service who work just to make more money always. They will keep telling you replace this or that after every 3 months. After buying it for 18.5k, i have spent around 5k for GKK1 change and RO membrane change. So going with that, the maintenance is gonna cost close to 5k every 12-18 months.
I am soon going to switch to another low cost, low maintenance water purifier.
