5.0 out of 5 starsSleek looking device, water tastes good
23 July 2019
I bought this device 2 months ago. Really happy with the way it works and water tastes. It was installed immediately by HUL team. Device is working fine and really happy. I was concerned with some feedback of device not working without electricity but it works with inverter connection. I could get water with it. Will give it 5 stars for the same.
After the 1st year of warranty, I almost paid them INR 7000/-, which is half the price itself for multiple maintenances (sedimentary filter, GKK2, motor burnt). I won't recommend this product to anybody. They will simply suck your money like anything. I'm very much disappointed with this product.
I am writing this review after 1.5 years of use of this product.
Pro - Looks good, gives mineral water(Which is it's job)
Cons- 1. Maintenance is very high. Every time the technician comes, he will charge 250/- (for very minor work also). 2. For 1st one year, the service is free and they will change the SF which is outside the device. After the warrantyperiod over, one one problem starts. The GKK1 consts around 22k which need to be changed within 1st year(or 4k liters). GKK2 should last upto 8k liters, but it goes off very fast, and you need to change it by paying 3750/- 3. No electricity, No water. (The water button works with electricity only)
HUL products are worst and their service is as poor as their product. They are not able to install the purifier in last 7 days and no one visited our house even though they have called multiple times that the engineer would be visiting. Even after contacting the HUL service center nothing has been done. Overall pathetic attitude and service by HUL.
Even in the warrantyperiod HUL charges for the maintenance. The product is so bad that it needs repair after every 2 months.
Excellent Product from one of the oldest & trusted companies of India, Hindustan Lever. The water dispensed is ultra pure & the machine adds to the aesthetics of your kitchen. The one call I made to the company during warrantyperiod was promptly attended to. The product will sell on it's merits and does not need any film stars endorsing it. Highly recommended.
Worst Product I have Seen In my life. Worst Product I have Seen In my life. in Six months 5 times repaired and with Charge or 1700 for filter change. I have wasted my 18 K buying this. The HUL does not care about the warranty and they talk about charge for the same. Even the Amazon and they will listen to your complain for 10 minutes and lastly they will say that they can not do anything and will provide the no of HUL
I also ignored most of the reviews on this product and now I experienced. So my humble request to every one please do not buy this and also request never buy such costly product from Amazon for shake of few hundred rupees and buy from some shops who will at least take care during warrantyperiod.
I am planning to approach consumer court for the same.
Exactly after the warrantyperiod(post 1 week after warranty) the adapter has got fault..Now we need to spend around 3000 for adapter..I just wonder how the pureIt people have designed purifier to get fault exactly after the warrantyperiod..Hats off to their designers..Never ever buy this product..
Even the customer care people also negligent towards their customer..They are not responding to us even after 1 week.. i bought the top most variant of pureIt(costs around 23000),I am just thinking this even after buying this top most variant,i am in this situation..cant think of their product quality for the lower variants.. Please don't buy this product,i just don't want any other people to get suffer like me..
The product turns out to be very expensive in terms of after sales service even during the warrantyperiod. Even though the after sales service is prompt and the service is free, the cost of filters and consumables is chargeable. The secondary filters and the primary filters which need replacement periodically have worked out to over Rs 9000/- in the first year itself (even though the usage was normal approximately 20L per day)
It would be a good idea to compare the replacement cost of filters for other simlar products while making a decision on which product to purchase.
Worst product, worst performance. Be it from Amazon or somewhere else shop, Hindustan Uniliver product is not good. Their service is also very very bad. After purchasing, it worked hardly for one year that is till the warrantyperiod. Then its motor pump damaged. Then adapter. Then controller. Within warranty also, few parts damaged and they did it free of cost. But they took one month each time to fix it. So my device was stopped around two months. But they didn't extend warrantyperiod for two month. Apart from that every one month there would be some problem in the filter. It has total six filter. Every month at least one filter will damage. And water stop coming. In an average in a year you have to spend another 10-12 k extra. I think even I buy bislery bottle for one year, it would have less cost.

This is well and truly a white elephant. The maintenance cost just keeps going up and up. I bought it hoping that it is the best, but the components are the worst quality imaginable. Its been little over two years and I have already spent more than the cost of RO on maintenance alone. Here are my comments regarding the components: 1. Sediment filter: this is the most replaced filter. At first, I used to change it once in three months, along with the GKK. it used to look pretty clean even then. After sometime I tried a third-party filter which was less than 40% of the cost of HUL one. To my dismay it becomes completely dirty and almost non-usable in less than a month! What this means is that HUL filter was actually passing on all that dirt inside the RO, or in other words, not doing its job at all! The proof in quality is shown by the RO itself. Output TDS always showed one or two bars using the OEM filter. But since I have started using the third party the output TDS does not show any bars. So some of the sediments that did pass through earlier, are affecting the quality of output water! 2. GKK filters: The warning to change them is time bound and not really dependent on usage, in my view. You will have to spend nearly 2K every three months and 4K every six months. So total annual cost is about 12 K for a RO which is worth 16K. Some people may get a little less, but only a little 3. Power adaptor: A basic device found with laptops, mobile chargers etc. As compared to toher devices using such adaptors, this one is rarely used as even in busy households, the RO hardly runs for more than one hour per day. Still, this one literally melted in about two years. When the technician (sent my HUL only) opened to show it to me, I realized that it was locally made with no mark of any kind, just a paper sticker giving basic specification and stating "Made for Hindustan Unilever Ltd." Replacement cost is 1850, whereas same specification, and better (having ISI mark et. all.) is available for 450 rupees from third parties. 4. SMPS: even this one does not fail at all for other ROs, but has failed twice for me. Once in warrantyperiod and then soon after it. All in all, I have decided to dump this RO as running it is proving out to be costly, extremely annoying and stressful now.
