Nah. Life was not good.
About three months after purchasing the power cord (which, in fact, does come with both parts), it developed two distinct problems. 1: It wouldn't charge, unless held in a very particular position on an upright surface, about level with the computer itself. 2: It ran very, very hot.
Now of course, I'm not that stupid. I don't leave the brick on my bed, or on a pile of clothing. That'll start a fire. No, I leave it on a table, and trip over it and spill my coffee or water on the floor and get very sad. Just today, I had the charger on the table, running very warm. After several hours of leaving it unplugged from the computer, it still ran hot.
It ran so hot, actually, that while playing a game, I heard a distinct SNAP!!! and jumped, killing my character. There was then a distinct scent of burning, burning plastic and a little bit of burning wood. And my computer stopped charging. I looked over and the seam along the side of the brick had bubbled and popped.
The thing ran so hot, just from every day use, that it literally killed itself.
Now don't get me wrong. It worked fine, aside from that! It did its job, charged my computer, made life good. But if you value your wallet, I would look.... elsewhere. Unless you really, really like the smell of burning plastic. Then go for it!
You can tell it's not super cheap as it has a decent weight to it. The cord has held up for over 6 months now, and I would probably buy this again.
