Product description

Product Description

Barry Boughen enjoys debate and appreciates people who think for themselves and learn from their thinking.

In this lively discussion, he questions the fact that many people simply accept what they are told. He dissects the Bible's version of truth and examines it minutely, pointing out the inaccuracies and impossibilities contained therein, which are nevertheless accepted and believed by countless people through the ages.

Barry takes us through the Ten Commandments and their flaws and contradictions, to which common sense and logic are ruthlessly applied. Will a five-year-old shoplifter burn in hell with adult bank robbers? Do priests who rape children escape damnation because they confess? Why can't we covet our neighbours' goods, provided we don't steal them?

After reading this book, you may want to review your opinion on the Bible, or just step back while the author burns. If you prefer to believe, please re-read!

About the Author

Barry R. Boughen was born in the early 1950s into a magical and wonderful world where freedom was a great resource. There was freedom to wander and roam, freedom to explore, freedom to learn in a simple world and freedom to think and come to personal conclusions. Barry could never look at anything without analysing and questioning it. What was it and how and why was it there? How did it come about and how did it work? Sixty years of thought and analysing those thoughts have led him to writing this and other books. Please read and enjoy.
