Product description

Review

Both harrowing and touching...the issues around abuse, culture clash, and the disparities between Indian and British Asian culture are handled with sensitivity and honesty. --Bali Rai

'Captivating new book from Kalhan explores one young girl s coming of age and negotiation between cultures' --Buzzfeed

This is a powerful book about family and survival, forgiveness and love. It's a book I've chosen as part of the #ReadWokeUK Reading Challenge and one I'd like discussed more in school. It's a book not to be missed. --Lucas Maxwell, School Librarian of the Year
