Let me tell you one thing first - out of the box the GPU is out right excellent performer, but if you plan to Overclock and boost further you will face a lot of heating issues as 3 fans struggle to keep up with the GPU heat. My PC cabin has 2 exhaust and 4 inlet (1 blowing air directly at GPU) still the GPU reaches 80C plus during winters. This heating is reached even with Airconditioned room set at 22 C.
I bought this card in November and posting this review in December - i am overall happy with the performance but i know i cannot push the card incase if i am playing games like Cyberpunk 2077.

An RTX 3070 with a subpar cooler
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 April 2021Verified Purchase
Getting this, for this price (£535), during the current market state and shortages is a feat in and of itself. I've been using the GPU for a couple weeks now and I'm mostly happy with it. Performs well and looks nice, and it should considering the price. It's performs just like an RTX 3070 should. Not much else I can say about that.
Now moving on to some bad points of this card. For starters, there is no OC/Silent BIOS switch like there is on the similarly priced Gaming OC. This card is basically the same card with a different shroud and no BIOS switch.
Next, the cooler is not great for this level of card. After a couple hours of gaming the card will go beyond 65c which is perfectly fine and even better than most other cards, however, what's not good is the fan speed it needs to run at to keep the thermals this low. I've seen times where the fans have spun to 2100 RPM (75%+ of their speed, not sure how good that is for fan longevity), which is audible over my case fans, and is sometimes irritating. I bring this up because MSI and ASUS seem to have done a good job with their coolers for their mid range versions of the 3070 (Gaming X Trio and TUF). From reviews I've seen the fans don't need to spin up nearly as fast, mostly staying below 1500 RPM (<60% of their fan speed) but somehow managing to keep their thermals lower than the Vision.
Simply put, if card A needs to spin its fans faster to keep up with similar tier cards B and C, that are spinning the fans slower, that means card A has a bad cooler (could be from fans not producing enough airflow or the flatness (or lack thereof) of the direct copper pipes that contact the GPU die. So all in all, the cooling on this card is its only flaw from my experience
Luckily this problem is easily overcome with a simple undervolt. While the card is idle and cool, launch MSI afterburner and set core offset to -200, this will move the whole voltage curve down, and click apply. Then press Ctrl + F to bring up the voltage curve. I have my card stable at 1935MHz @912mv but you will want to do your own testing. Pick a starting point, let's say 950mv, and move that up to 1950mhz and then test stability however you do. Reset and and start again but with a lower voltage if the previous test was stable. Don't set the voltage while the card is under load and warm as this messes up the boost tables and will make your clock speed higher later.
Undervolting helped me reduce thermals by up to 10c in some games and that reduced the fans speed by up to 400 RPM. A big win. Disappointed that it's nnecessary to do this but nonetheless it's an ok result. If I could go back I would try getting a TUF instead.

Reviewed in Germany on 11 May 2021Verified Purchase

Reviewed in Germany on 12 February 2021Verified Purchase
