This particular model was recommended to me by a gaming friend, and he didn't steer me wrong! This comes with all sorts of connectors so you can use the ones you need for your particular computer and allow the others to just sit curled up and out of the way while installing.
I can now play every game I own at the highest graphics settings with no hiccups or lag. SO thrilled...
This card can handle up to 4 monitors with the HDMI ports (it says that you can hook up to the hdmi and DVI ports together but why?). It is indeed 12 inches long which would not fit into her case without moving the drives and removing the center drive cage on her full ATX tower. I will not be putting this one in my own computer because of the size restrictions but I am very impressed with it in her computer.
(+)The video card on win10 and i7-4790k should be running new video games and graphics for several years to come. Microsoft has finally, after all my years owning computers or building them, put together a near perfectly running operating system. They brought back some win7 features to make more usable. The new Tomb Raider game is even running Direct X12, with some mixed reviews. You can run several monitors off of this card also, maybe 4, I cannot remember.
(-+)The only negative, which again, maybe isn't, but the card is big. I had to nix several HD slots on my Storm Scout2 case to make room for this. I use mostly USB 3.0 WD Passport drives now for storage, and am getting out of the larger hotter drives in computers. 3.0 USB is ridiculously faster than 2.0, twice as fast!! For all you builders, the WINDFORCE word is boldly lit through the window, which might be impressive.
The card had a rebate, which I spaced out on, and did not get in for the time allotted. $20 lost!! The card is, or was, I believe about $180. I don't overclock anything. The stock computer with top of the line parts really needs no boosting at all. Maybe in another few years it will need overclocking but not now. I have an 850w Antec PS, which is more than enough to run this card, which, I think, runs on half this much power. Don't quote me on that. Look for my complete review of the computer under i7-4790k, if my memory is correct. Like all these computer items, if you wait and buy later, the price drops a lot from its initial appearance price(except Intel processors, the wait for price is longer).
Under $200, this is a solid and stable performer, that runs everything I throw at it. I have been an ATI/AMD guy for years until this, and not that they are better, but thought I'd try them out. My other computers run great on AMD too.
