Coming to the product itself. Yes! It is what I had expected it to be. Although in contrary to what the product description claims about the power supply having isolated outputs, they are not. It is just a glorified daisy chain. The all metal (seems like aluminum) construction makes the unit quite rigid and well built. There are no moving parts inside and overall seems road worthy. The cables included are well molded. The adapter has square pins and I needed to invest in an additional converter to make them fit into the regular house hold power sockets. This is not a deal breaker for me as these converters are cheap and are available at any local hardware store.
I hooked up my whole pedalboard of three Boss pedals, a Digitech pedal, a CryBaby and Digitech Whammy, and the unit seems hold hold it self quite well. I should mention here that the Whammy, although 9v, requires a higher output which the unit has two. That to me is a big plus!
The answer to every musician's question regarding this unit. Yes! This unit does add a significant amount of hum. Specially on the high gain channel of my tube amplifier. A noisegate in the FX loop solved the problem without eating into the tone. While gigging, I don't think that it will be much of a problem but while tracking, this might be a deal breaker for some. The product is lightweight and the blue LED adds a glow to my pedalboard which is quite helpful in darker settings of a stage.
Overall, I am happy with the product. The price is something which makes this an instant win.
However, these are not isolated and has a hissing/ hum sound if you like to use hi gain pedals or amp channels. I mostly use clean pedals with a mild overdrive and the noise is quite insignificant. It's a steal for the price
