EDIT: After exactly 2.5 years of working, the watch started restarting automatically. It would not boot and keep on restarting at the Wear OS icon till full discharge. I gave it to Fossil store for repair and they said they will send it to Bengaluru and provide me with an estimate as watch is 6 months above warranty. After a week I get a call that Fossil cannot repair the watch as they dont manufacture the model anymore and hence parts not available. They gave a voucher of 7349 to ve redeemed on mrp at Fossil stores and kept my old watch and charger. Pathetic. I spent 16k on the smart watch and am stuck with a voucher for 30% worth. If products are not serviceable no point buying.
Very good Android watch. Lightweight. Strap is very soft as well. Big screen with loads of useful functionality. Battery life is 2 days with moderate use. However if you pair it with phone all the time battery drains in a day.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
LIKE====Great Sporty designGood build qualityImpressive batterySmooth softwareDISLIKE=======Absence heart rate sensoraverage displaylacks featuresConclusion:=========Fossil Q Marshal has a proper 'watch' like design and build, but the 'smart' factor is quite limited to basic Android Wear features. It is a great option for those who are looking for a conventional watch that cuts-down the need of pulling out your smartphone over and over again. It comes with all the basic smartwatch features and functions, without looking like a smartwatch. The only downside of the watch is its software experience, which could be made better if Fossil comes up with its own OS in coming time. The hardware is good enough to cater a lag-free software experience, and the optimisation is also commendable.

A good watch to have a taste of Android watches. Only drawback is the battery backup. Yet there is scope of improvement but for time being till the there is more technological advancement this watch is worth purchasing.

Product is awesome, But after charging for the first time 100%, Without even connecting to phone battery is getting drained out very quickly so forced to return the product back. Apart from battery part the watch is awesome.

A good watch. Except for the brand Fossil it's just like another Android wear smart watch. This time Amazon disappointed me with the delivery that took 20 days. The watch doesn't have the heart rate monitor, please be aware.

To tell from the begining, delivery is good but the product is used its not brand new coz strap pins are broken, someone must have used it coz its not a manufacturer defect as i know the build quality of fossil...its really making me not to believe amazon dealers anymore only one in ten dealers are providing the fresh products.

It's a good watch, batter life too I found was decent. It's lasts for a day and a half after dull charge. Just that it take almost 2.5 hours to charge. Good product by fossil and I am in love with the watch as it looks classy.

Good display for direct sunlight use
Reviewed in the United States on 5 August 2017Verified Purchase
The body is stylish, but a bit on the thick side. The LCD display's colors are less vibrant than what you see in a more typical OLED or AMOLED display, but has excellent visibility in direct sunlight, with sharp images (though colors are barely visible) which is far better than what you get with any OLED or AMOLED display, but the flat tire shape of the screen can be seen as a bit of a let down.
The Wear 2100 processor makes Android run snappy and the included speaker allows for short phone conversations through the watch, if you don't want to pull your phone out. The crown does not rotate (it's just a button), and bezel is just for the looks since it doesn't rotate either (a missed opportunity for a great navigation tool to complement the touchscreen). Battery life is roughly 24 hours with normal use, which is about average with Android Wear watches. There seems to be currently an issue with the synchronization of Google Fit stats, which doesn't happen with other android wear watches. The included band is very comfortable, but you may want to look at a leather option if you'd like a more formal look.
All in all is a very good watch, particularly if you intend to use it outdoors and in direct sunlight.

Stylish & functional smart watch for Android and iPhone users
Reviewed in the United States on 18 July 2017Verified Purchase
It's not an Apple Watch, obviously. There are a few things it doesn't do, if you have an iPhone. You can't reply to e-mails or text messages and I haven't tried to answer calls with it, though I do get the notification. For me, this is a stylish smart watch that does everything that I need for it to do. I receive notifications from all of the apps that I have set up, I can read e-mails and texts, change various aspects of the watch face, track my steps and view my appointments. The interface is easy to navigate and fairly intuitive. My only complaints are the battery life and initial setup instructions. No matter how you configure the watch. you'll need to charge it daily (or nightly as the case may be) and during the initial charge, since the charger and watch are magnetic, you don't know if the connection is good until the watch is at about 2%. This wasn't a big deal, though I had hoped the documentation would tell me what to expect during initial use. Despite these two issues, I'm still giving the watch 5 stars because it functions exactly as I expected it to.

Fundamental Android Wear 2.0 Smartwatch
Reviewed in the United States on 5 December 2017Verified Purchase
I've had my Fossil Q Marshall for about 2 months now and it has perfectly met my expectations. That said, I had read reviews previously to accurately set my expectations. The watch has a 1-day battery when the brightness is set to the lowest setting (which is plenty for daily use) and tilt-to-wake enabled. It works great with my Motorola G running Android. Notifications come in quickly and Android Wear 2.0 is a very functional user interface. My main complaint is that I can only respond to a text, I can't write one from scratch, so if I forget a detail in my reply I need to pull out my phone and type a text. Something is very soothing about being able to immediately delete spam email from my wrist on the Gmail app.
Very happy with the purchase.

More than just a watch
Reviewed in the United States on 11 February 2017Verified Purchase
This was a Christmas gift for my husband. He absolutely loved it. He wears it all the time; even to the gym; and it looks great! He had been considering buying a Fitbit, but was never quite sold on it since we wanted a "smarter" watch, not just a fitness tracker. I think I found just was he was looking for. He likes that he can change the main screen for different displays (analog/digital); the second hand which is helpful for work; the built-in pedometer; and syncing his mobile apps to get alerts on his watch. This a great device for someone who is constantly busy because almost everything is right there on your wrist. It's especially convenient for me because now I know he will never miss a call or text message!
