Having started up in early 2015, I have been through the different phases of the development of an ecommerce platform to finally convince myself that the inventory model is not efficient in this market.
Also I went through this book and I came up with a new structure for my business and a new vision of how to manage an eshop.
The author has a deep knowledge of the market and gives ideas to use this market to our advantage.
This books gives hope and inspires entrepreneurs who dream of building a net profitable ebusiness in India.
If you are an Indian entrepreneur today, especially in the ecommerce industry, I think this is one of the books you absolutely must read, because it can shape your understanding and perception of how to generate profit with that kind of business.
First the author gives a very personal, innovative and genuine vision of what is the Indian market.
Then the book’s structure is in total rupture with what we usually read on similar books. After a theoretical part that started each chapter, the author began a dialogue with an entrepreneur who struggle with her ecommerce and tries to go out of that situation. Thanks to that discussion the reader is able to understand how he/she can implement the new model on an existing platform.
Finally, the model itself is interesting in the sense that it adapts the Mass Distribution’s model to a small ecommerce to reach profitability. It gives us a lot of new ideas and a new view on how we can transform an ecommerce in a successful business.
It has been a delight for me to read this book and I highly recommend it.
The big question about how to reach profitability with an e-commerce in India is solved with an original 'new' model by using the supermarkets' one to generate a new revenue called 'back margin'.
The solution is explained very well like a case study and the narration is authentic!
The book is quite inspirational for any aspiring entrepreneur... A must read!
This is worth far more than what it's price is.
Full of really useful tips on starting an e-commerce including precautions to be taken and pitfalls to avoid, along with great insights into many minute details of running a business and expanding it.
Not a single stone is left upturned in the book and the story and way of narration is great. I'm sure you'll become fan of the author.. Go for it!!
