I can only say this.... Yesterday was Saturday and my husband of 30 years and I spent the day at home. We sat on the back porch and talked & laughed for 3 hours, then we sat in the tub and talked for 2 hours, then later (a while later ;) we sat at dinner & talked forever then in front of the fireplace where we talked & listened to music until bedtime. (we do own a TV) This isn't unusual for us. He's a guys guy - not very sentimental or touchy-feely or all that talkative when it comes to strangers. (He's an executive at a Fortune500 company) He adores me - or at least i can say he treats me like he adores me. I still get flowers & gifts at random & unsuspected times. He works & takes care of me & protects me & I let him. He teases me, flirts with me, hugs&kisses me & in general cant keep his hands off me. I love every minute of it. I live this book. I am smart (mensa) & capable & independent & by nature not all that sentimental either but with him I let all my girly, sweet, silly, adoring, pink-wearing southern girl stuff out.... & I put it on overdrive sometimes. I get all the attention & affection I could ever want. Sometimes I have to pick a fight just so I can "stomp away & pout" and call him a BIg-Chested meany. (sigh.... this always ends well ;)
I am assuming that if you read a book titled "Fascinating Girl" that you are looking for guy to find you fascinating. Is it possible that what you are currently doing isn't working so well? I suggest you not knock what you have not tried. Ive got 30 years of experience that this works & it appears to be working for many other women as well. So ask yourself, would you rather be better than Him & right all of the time & kill all your own snakes or be utterly & completely adored?? Its your choice.... Now go read "Fascinating Womanhood" - her other book for married women.
