One of the best in market right now.
28 January 2019
Delivered in 4 days, from Maharashtra to Bihar. Came nicely packed, no damages.
The unit was manufactured in dec 2018, and I got it in January 2019. Since this is a new model, we don't know how durable it will be or what problems we might face in the long run. But for now its one of the best out here and at ₹12450, it was steal deal. Probably saved around ₹6000 from the local market here. The price mentioned on the box was around ₹28999.(that's the mrp print).
In the box I got a PVC pipe, warranty card, and the unit along with its fittings and oil collector.
I got the call for installation the next day of delivery, since I wasn't prepared I arranged it after 3 days, for which they came and installed within minutes. I didn't use the original pvc pipe that came with it, and opted for the aluminium one. They charged, ₹500 for the service and ₹1250 for the 10 feet aluminium pipe.
The unit worked efficiently, average noise.
The gesture control is well implemented here. Since it allows you to control the unit without really touching any buttons, you can start the fan, change speed and shut it off, just with waving your hand. So there is no worries if your hands are dirty.
60 cm is good if you have a small kitchen, but if you have much space or a 3 or 4 burner stove, opt for the 90cm one. I have a 3 burner stove and not so big kitchen, so I chose this, yet sometimes I am more compelled to move to the stove burner in the middle cause side burner will feel like little away from the fan.
The only thing that I noticed was the gesture sensor being sensitive to movements. It shut off when I moved from one side to another. It not only captures your hand movement but can capture your head movement as well. That happened only once though. So try not to gesture with your head or if you are skilled you can master that art as well. I don't know if that's a con or a pro for this chimney. But I loved it.
I cleaned the chimney after 15 days or so, removed the oil collector, and the panel which has 2 screws. it had oil residue in the tray and in the panel. It was easy to clean with water and detergent. If it had another baffle filter then the task would have been more complex. As far as I could see inside the body, there wasn't much to clean there. I used small amount of thinner to clean the outer body since oil had a layer on it and normal detergent wouldn't have worked as good as it did. All good till now. The second time I was cleaning I got my finger cut slightly, since the edges of the oil collector is very sharp so go cleaning with caution.
